With Boren leading the way with 8 tackles last night and the complete ineptitude of the other linebackers has he secured a spot back there for the remainder of the season? Shazier and Sabino (once he comes back) are obviously secure in their roles, but is Boren a better option as the middle linebacker than Klein and Grant going forward? Also, the fact that Boren can learn the defense well enough to make 8 tackles in a week makes Curtis Grant look even worse for not being more of an impact.

I wonder if there are more injuries then they are letting on.
The key phrase from your post is "going forward." Shockingly, Boren might be the best option at his position right now, and if he were going to be playing here next season, he'd clearly be the best choice. However, going forward, I'd like to see some of the guys we're expecting to contribute at the position in the future get a chance to develop their skills.
OSU is undefeted I don't think it is necessarily about developing younger players. Meyer is going to put the guy that gives us the best opportunity to win on the field. Hypothetical based on what the other LBs have done thus far, and what Boren did last night: M*chigan game with Sabino and Shazier in, who takes the starting spot as the middle linebacker?
I'm a big Boren fan and I think he put on quite a display last night. He is the definition of Football Player for the 2012 Buckeyes. With that being said, I hope not. I hope some one gets healthy or someone steps up to the plate. Maybe I'm totally wrong about Boren and the previous staff missed it also. Maybe Boren should have been playing linebacker since he got to tOSU. I still want one of the listed linebackers to get some nuts and get on the field and knock somebody down. Is that to much to ask out of highly recruited players.
An angry fan...rooting for an angry team...led by angry coaches
Boren and Klein are gonna be our two headed MLB for the rest of the season. I think it is great for a guy like Boren who's FB position has been pretty much eliminated. Not so great for the team moving forward to next season. Curtis Grant will either transfer, move to DE or become a special teams guy. (My guess is that he transfers) I really hope that we can get this problem and the many other defensive issues fixed by next season. This team is National Title calibur but the defense has to be better than lastnight.
