Your least favortie teams/fanbases in the B1G

This weekend I grew a new hate for MSU. Everyone from there fans to there coaches were pure classless. For God Sake when Braxton went down after rolling into a cart early in the game the fans were chanting "He's a p*ssy, He's a p*ssy..!" I feel like you should never boo an injured player. We even saw how much of a prick Dantonio was. So I wanted to know who everyones least favortie Big 10 teams/fanbases were. After this weekend mine stands as this:

1. M*chgan (Will always be #1 on this list)

2. Michigan State

3. Wisconsin

4. Penn State

5. Nebraska

#2 penn st...because they've always been dooshes and in the last year they've somehow become much worse. You would think they'd be humbled a little, but I haven't seen it.

#3 Wiscy: crazy ass drunks who think they've won 10 national titles in the last 8 years

Everyone else I really don't care. I would put Michigan State on this list because they seem to really hate us, but us hating them would imply that they are more than just the dirty gum on the bottom of th Ohio State shoe that they really are.

Penn State fans, not all of them, but way too many  --  have this sense of "holier than thou art" about them. They think they're so much classier than the rest of the country. I'm sure some of that's changed since the PedoGate scandal. But, I've experienced some really arrogant PSU fans.

I'm not your typically OSU fans but I hate Wisconsin more than Michigan....

1. Wisconsin

3. Florida

4. Penn State

5. Everyone else

As long as Bret and Bo are their coaches I will root for Wisconsin to lose in every single sport their school has because they don't deserve to win anything until they learn how to win with class. Screw their football team, basketball team, hockey team, cross country team, wrestling team, track and field team, soccer team, swimming team, baseball team, golf team, tennis team, screw them all. In fact any time they've come to OSU for any sport, I've been there to support OSU and watch their sports team fall flat on their face. I will always root for OSU to beat them in whatever sports they play and smile just a little but more when their defeat comes by the hand of the Gophers.  And if you think michigan state saying that stuff about braxton is bad, when your player goes down in Madison they say, "shoot him where it hurts".

I hope that by week 11 Hall is back, Smith is Miller number one target, Stoneburner is another offense weapon, our offensive line is stout, our defense is punishing because I want to go into Madison and not only beat Wisconsin. No, I want Urban to manhandle Bret Bulimia worst that what Penn State did to them in 2008 (48-7), for their students section to taste what if feels like to get crushed and for Bret to swallow the fact that he will never sniff another B1G title as long as Urban is at OSU. Punishing B1G teams (Indiana, Illinois, Purdue) was fun when it was good but now Bret will have his day on the field where he experiences everything that those team experienced. I can't wait to taste his sweet tears of defeat by the hands of Meyer then send them off to play an SEC team (florida or south carolina will do) to get railed during their bowl game.

In all of the NCAA, I dislike Michigan fans & Alabama fans the most. Michigan fans are proud to get all of their players from Ohio, & then try to make it sound like Ohio State sucks & that's why those kids go to UM. But in reality, it's because the quality of high school football in Ohio is a about a A or A- & the quality of high school football in Michigan is probably a C or C-. The only reason I don't give them a D+ is because John Hankins. So in reality, we have enough talent to supply OSU, UM, MSU, & Notre Dame with more than a few quality players, we can't keep them all. But having bad football players in your own state is nothing to be proud of. Not one of Michigans 3 Heisman Winners comes from Michigan. (Harmon: Indiana, Woodson, Howard: Ohio) Also, they think they're so superior in the area of academics, but they're just not. The Ohio State campus & everything it has to offer is damn impressive, so I don't know what the hell they're talking about. If UM is like the other Harvard, the way they think it is, then why is it that the state of Michigan itself is a dirty, rusty, boring craphole with nothing to enjoy outside of Downtown Detroit. The way the state looks certainly doesn't reflect their "superior level of education". And Alabama fans, they're just ignorant & stupid football zombies with one Heisman winner to their name, but they have the nerve to insult Ohio's football quality. Plus they say some of the worst things I've heard fans say. If a ten year old Auburn fan had cancer, 60% of Alabama fans would say terrible things about that kid on the internet, & follow it up with "roll tide". And honestly, does anyone like Wisconsin? At all? Michigan State.. they're the Spartans. They're also the wannabe Michigan. UM has the Wolverine, atleast thats the state animal. Spartans have nothing to do with the state of Michigan, & I did hear what they were chanting about Braxton Miller. I respect Nebraska fans.

LULZ @ Buckeye beast.  Since when does OSU, Texas, USC, UF/FSU/Miami, PSU, Etc have anything to do with the high school crops from their respective state?  Maybe the population and number of metropolitan areas within a state has something to do with it.  Who cares what state a Heisman player comes from?  It's not like he can choose where his family is from.  What matters is the school he chooses.

And I know you're probably referring to the area right there around the Ford Field and Comerica, but you may be the first person to ever say Detroit is the nicest part of Michigan.  By most accounts, Michigan is rated higher than OSU.  OSU is a great school and each has its strengths.

As far as fan bases, its probably a toss-up between Penn State and Wisky, with the nod going to Penn State.

Michigan State is creeping up there based on last week, but my dislike has not crossed the line into true hate yet.

We don't have enough history with Nebby to make me dislike them that much yet, and the rest of the teams are just annoying when they get that elusive win as an underdog over us.  But at least at that point, we deserve what we get from their fans (see Purdue the last few years).

Michigan State isn't even on my radar.  I just don't hate them.  The MSU fans I've met don't worry about the football team at all.  It's a basketball school.

1. F-Michigan.  Duh.  No offense, but I don't even like the Michigan fans who suck up to us on 11W.  I know some of you appreciate their input, but I read what they write and I think to myself, "get a life!  No one is impressed by your nice-ness."  I am in grad school, and there are 2 Michigan grads in my program.  I dedicate every encounter to pranking, talking smack, and talking more smack.  And both are girls and I don't even care.

2. Wisconsin.  You have to have been living under a rock not to understand just how horrendously awful Wisconsin fans are.  Their entitled students show up late to the game, usually drunk beyond all reason on the sh*ttiest beer you've ever had in your life.  They make fun of their own cheerleaders and hurl back "witty" non-cheers, like, "You-uu Su-uck"  and "F*ck the Buck-eyes."  Wow, we're funny!  Their biggest tradition is jumping around to...uh..."Jump Around,"  a crappy 90's hip-hop song by a white rap group featuring Everlast (was there anything worse in the 90's...arguably no.)...which makes sense because it was the first decade they were ever relevant in football.  They didn't show up to last year's inaugural B1G title game, which was a rematch against a team that beat them on a hail mary.  Tickets were $14 on StubHub, and they STILL didn't fill the seats.

Plus, is there any bigger example of how sh*tty the B1G is than having Wisconsin, with their roster filled with 5 recruiting classes of ~12 players each, all 2-stars, repping the B1G in the Rose Bowl for 2 straight years after playing ZERO teams of quality in their nonconference schedule?

I have never heard a pleasant story from any Buckeye fan who has ever been to Camp Randall for the OSU-Wiscy game.  The place is a used brat casing.

3.  Penn State fans.  Wow.  Black Shoe Diaries is a scarry-ass place.  It is a dark, dark corner of the internet reserved for some of the worst people I've ever come across.  I have zero respect for pretty much that entire community.

That's about it.  No one else really bothers me.  Blast over.

More on Wisconsin's failure in filling the stands at the B1G title game, because I just thought of this.  People might blame the economy, people might blame the fact that the Pack were playoff-bound, and the Brewers just saw the post-season.  So maybe people were tapped out on funds to attend sporting events.

What university boasts the biggest # of Fortune 500 CEO's?  Yup, the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  How long will it take you to get season tickets at Lambeau Field if you put your name in today?  1100 years.  That's right.  Eleven-HUNDRED years.  Check it, I am not kidding.

No sympathy.  Fucking embarrassed us all.

I always hate Michigan most.  I got to where I didn't mind their fans either but recently I've run into a couple here in NKY that pissed me off.  One guy said Ohio State hasn't beat Michigan since 2009.  He kept saying it in days too.  Ohio State hasn't beat Michigan in X amount of days.  I said well you haven't had much to be happy about up there for a while, I remember what happened on the field.

Then another guy last week saw my Buckeye hat and immediatlely started on me about allt ime wins and B1G titles and all that stuff.  I really didn't respond too much because, that's what he wanted me to do.  I was like yep solid program how'd you do against Bama and Notre Dame.

After that I've never been around B1G fan bases that much just heard stories.  I think the way the PSU folks acted last season and other stories I've heard probably put them at number 2 on my m ost hated list.

Before and after I graduated from THE Ohio State University, I lived up in suburban Detroit for about 8 years.  I've come across 3 distinct categories of Wolverine Fan.

1) the "Before Color TV" alums - they've seen the highs and the lows of Michigan football, and they are often great to talk with about football, especially The Rivalry.  They'll tell you stories about the 10 Year War and its legit because they were pretty much our age or even a little older when their team lost their stranglehold on the Big 10.  They all hate Woody Hayes because of what he did on the field, but adore him for what he meant for the Game - and how he helped bring out the very best in Bo.   These are the only species of Wolverine Fan worthy of praise.  Their children, who are obviously M alumni as well , however, are pretentious assholes and help to support the next species...

2) the "Faux Ivy League" alums - most of them don't speak the english langauge as they were all herded over from their far corners of the world during a time when student visas were given out like fraternity "move-in help" near the frosh girls dorms.  They don't know shit about football, and their vitriol for all things Ohio is derived from their english speaking counterparts - the children of the more honorable alumns noted above.  They couldn't pick Woody Hayes out of a lineup if he wasn't the only one wearing the devil's horns.  The only reason they even went to games was because they needed something to do on Saturday mornings - according to their "How to act like an American" guidebooks, drinking alone before noon is "generally frowned upon unless it directly precedes football."  This species is to be generally avoided, although typically one can belay their condescending angst by asking them when was the last time their team won their very own NC trophy.

3) the "Walmart Wolverines" - they aren't alums.  They can't spell the word "alum".  They come from small towns in Michigan like Howell in Livingston County, which are better known for an undying KKK presence than the Ford/GM/Mopar factory that used to churn out car parts.  We have them too - ours come from places like Chillicothe or Lancaster and have a tendency to turn such fun and borderline-docile events like Chitfest or the Michigan Victory Post Game Party into national news events on par with Project X.  They don't have any ties with their school, and they have no sense of pride for their school, buy by damn they'll cave your face in if you start talking trash about it.  They are truely the worst kind of fan - intolerable, feral, and a general nuisance to the rest of us decent folk.

Great reads so far. I love it "wolverqueens" and the "university of spoiled children" haha

In all seriousness, I've come from Toledo where it's basically half and half. My half brother is a UM fan, and even though he's not an alum, we have intelligent conversations and he really respects JT. One of my best friends is also a fan, and he is usually rational and doesn't try to give OSU fans guff, so i think he was raised right. real good guy. Finally there are friends of friends who live in columbus and they are HUGE a'holes. they didn't go there, but they think brady hoke is a god. they purposely try to start stuff with OSU fans and it disgusts me, i pity them. There's a guy at work who went there but i dont think he knows what football is. I also have a friend who went to UM when his dad and brother went to Notre Dame. I think they secretly hate him.

So for that I think Wisconsin has to go number one because I've heard terrible things, and same for PeeSU.

@HAIL2VICTORS9

I only mentioned the state of Ohio, but since you mentioned those other schools, I guess I'll take the chance to explain something about them. You said "Since when does OSU, Texas, USC, UF/FSU/Miami, PSU, Etc have anything to do with the high school crops from their respective state?" Texas gets mostly all of their players from the state of Texas. USC is in southern California, a hotbed for football talent, & they prefer to keep their talent local. UF,FSU, & Miami need no explanation. Florida is possibly the best football state around, & all those schools recruit locally, with the exception of Urban Meyer, who recruited a few out of state guys during his tenure at Florida. And Penn State.. I don't think anyone cares where they get their players now, but the state of PA isn't a slouch when it comes to producing talent, although they aren't elite. And Ohio State grabs significantly more guys from our own state than others. All the schools you mentioned are in states that annually produce multiple players in the ESPNU 150, & that's what those schools have to do with the high school crops from their respective states. They're all in good football states, & they have a homefield advantage when it comes to recruiting in-state talent. For each program you mentioned, all are historically successful. So I would say that the talent advantage shows on the field. And it does matter what state Heisman winners originate from, it says alot about that states football tradition & quality. Seeing as how I'm from Ohio, the state that produced the 2nd most winners behind California, one could see how I might value such things over somebody from Michigan, a state that hasn't produced any Heisman winners at all. And as for the Detroit subject: Downtown was very nice to me. I'm from Cleveland, so Detroit for the most part felt like home to me.

It's 5 o'clock somewhere, & Michigan still sucks

Buckeye Beast, I think you misunderstood my question.  I listed those schools in their respective states because they are the best HS football states.  My point is that those states are going to produce great talent, whether you removed all of the major  universities from that state, or brought 10 new power house colleges into the state, the talent pool remains the same.  OSU's presence in Ohio doesn't result in a hotbed of talent.  I understand that OSU, Texas, USC, etc take advantage of the local talent, but it's just a matter of good fortune, and like I mentioned before, population and other factors.

Now if you want to make an argument about second generation players, I can buy into that theory.

Those who stay will be CHAMPIONS!

TTUN, Wiscy, MSU, Purdue, Illinois. PSU doen't exist anymore. Cannot stand the thought of anything about the school. They should not have a football team and as such not be in position to root for a team in any way.
