So hard to choose. Both are plays that very few QBs in the country could pull off.

I would say that it's Braxton's play against PSU. We know that he can pull off a ridiculous throw on the run (see Wisconsin last year), but I don't think Troy ever had the agility to pull of what Braxton did against PSU. Truly something OSU fans have never seen before.
Both super impressive. Braxton is by far quicker and shiftier, but man could Troy throw a bullet!
I would have to do with the Braxton move, but I don't think it was the single best effort in between the two time periods. Both are amazing plays, but I believe Troy had better ones along with Braxton and Pryor.
@Steensn: TP's raw athleticism was always impressive. The fact that he could stiff arm LBs with ease was ridiculous. But, I don't think there's anything that he could do that Braxton cannot already do now.
The toss to Gonzalez up in the Big House was something as well. The way Troy stepped into the pocket, then back out as an inept M defender grabbed nothing but air was a sight to behold. Then to throw a pass in that situation over two guys where only one guy (yours) can get it was something-better than the PSU play if thats possible.
Great effort by Gonzo but don't kid yourself-Troy put that ball exactly where he wanted it. Either Gonzo was going to make a spectacular catch or the ball was falling to the turf. That one still gives me chills
4-6 seconds from point A to point B and when you get to point B, be pissed off
gotta go with Brax on this one. I believe Brax's Wisconsin throw last year was better than the Smith one. Just personal opinion obviously

I agree, but TP had the time to do that while we are still giving Braxton his time. All three QB's are steller and I'd take any of them as our QB again (lets forget all the off field stuff). Braxton will likely have a "best individual effort in OSU history" by the time he is done. At this point, TP and Smith have a few plays that top both above... but only because they had more time to do so. Braxton isn't even done with his sophmore season.
Smith's play would have to get the nod here because not only did he display amazing deep ball accuracy, he showed some really impressive escapability. That being said, Smith could never do what Miller did in that run (not many could), whereas Miller still might be able to replicate Smith's play if he can get his passing mechanics in order.
@McLovin: I thought about presenting that argument, but wasn't sure if it would hold water in light of Brax's throw last year against Bucky. However, generally, I think you're right. As yourself and a couple of people have already alluded to, there are just some throws that Brax cannot make that Troy could make in his sleep. Take the surefire TD in the 1st qtr against PSU that Brax overthrew. Put way too much mustard on the throw, and not enough loft (a common issue with a couple of his throws against PSU). Guy has certainly got the gun, but not the touch yet. Obviously, considering he's a sophomore, I'm nitpicking.
@ o-h -- I agree completely. Main thing he needs is touch. I think the mental part is not clear yet either, but like you said, he is a sophomore. I can't wait to see what kind of highlights he is going to have in his next two years.
^^^Exactly. I think many ppl forget(when he is criticised for his passing) that Braxton is still very young. Troy was a a redshirt soph the first time he started as a QB and while he was def a better passer at that time, he was still only a fraction of the player he would become. If Miller can get the mental game down and progress the way Smith did....WOW!
Nice one..tough choice. I'd have to go with Troy...for passing it on a dime after running his a$$ off. If it were any runs of Troy vs. Brax360 on Sat...I'd have to go with Braxton. That move faked out three guys that were within one yard or less. That's worth an "Oh My God" as the coaches said... :-)< that was me on Saturday.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME! BRAXTON HANDS DOWN!
Despite physical ability and ability to throw, Troy had a set passing play that he had to do some elusive work to get off, ala Braxton Miller last year at Wisky (in a much tougher situation I might add, down with seconds left).
Braxton had to make the right read and DID! The timing to pull that ball out away from Hyde and then do that play was remarkable! 9 times out of 10 anyone would probably have made the wrong play and let Hyde take it or would have been tackled the second they didn't. Braxton was able to get the read, avoid being tackled, then avoid being tackled on a ridiculous juke move, then dive between defenders to get the TD. I was impressed at first then they should the overhead view. He actually dived backwards against the grain to split the defenders!
Braxton made the right read on that play, but there have been MANY times when he handed it off when he should have kept it and vice versa...it just seems like a lot of times he is guessing instead of making the correct read. I am NOT disputing his athletic ability, I just think he has a ways to go to get the mental part down. As I said earlier, if he can progress in that area...watch out!
Edit - I do agree though, he may have had the most remarkable 1 yard TD we will ever see.
not sure, might have to go with troy on that one, it was his heisman defining moment in my opinion AND don't forget how crappy that field was against PSU in 06, the last year the shoe had natural grass...you can tell be how carefully he made that turn as he was running from the defender right before he threw a PERFECT ball so yeah, gonna go with smitty
The better AHTLETIC play is Miller's. The more IMPORTANT play is Troy Smith's.
