Something I was thinking about. Every Thursday night and Friday night ESPN televises a game and it usually is a Big 12, ACC or SEC. Do you think the Big Ten Network would go this route to do conference games on a Wednesday night? You could guarantee that every team gets a Wednesday night game to spotlight their school to the country. I know that BTN isn't in a ton of households, but just curious to see what others think and if that is something you would enjoy.

I hear what you're sayin, but honestly I'd be kinda pissed if I had to watch the Bucks play on a Wednesday night. jmo.
I know there's a game saturday, and my ass will be there.
I hate to say it, but I'm not sure highlighting some of the crappy teams in the B1G would be that great for the conference. Plus, I like my CFB on Saturday.
I have no problem seeing the likes of Minnesota, Indiana, Northwestern, Illinois, Purdue, and Iowa having a Thursday night meeting against one another or the MACs of the world.
If big time B1G teams are ever playing conference games on a weeknight, we'll have an issue.
FWIW, Michigan opens up at Utah on a Thursday night in a few years 2015 or 2016, I think.

When OSU opened the season a few years ago on Thursday I hated it. Being a season ticket holder and also living in NW Ohio it was difficult working part of the day and then getting down for plenty of prep time and to the game. Not to mention getting home and working the next day. The Buckeyes should ALWAYS play on Saturday, unless it is the NC game. I'll agree with Hail that the lower tier B1G teams can play on Wed/Thurs/Fri, let the big boys play on Sat.
Not conference games. But they do play some OOC games on Thursdays and Fridays.
They could go to a weekday IF the two teams that had bye that week met. However that only leaves 4 conference games on a Saturday and slots to fill on BTN, ESPN and ABC. I think the B1G would rather have national coverage on Saturday than BTN coverage on a weekday.
If ESPN is covering Buffalo and Kent State (week 2, I think) on a Thursday and BYU vs Hawaii last Friday, I think they'd cover Purdue vs Marshall or Iowa vs NIU. I don't know what the rating +/- would be, but I'd think they'd do better on a Thursday when they're the only (or 1 of 2) games on, rather than being one of 6 games on the major networks where it's almost a guarantee that the other 5 will be a better matchup.
Again, this is for the bottom tier of B1G teams, not those that have a National or expanded regional fanbase.
