Week 6 Big 10 predictions

Illinois @ Wisconsin- Wisconsin, they played well, despite the loss to Neb.  Wisky too physical for Illini.

Michigan State @ Indiana-  Sparty will knock itself out for the win, gouging the Hoosiers in a close game.

Michig*n @ Purdue-  Michig*n has Deeenard, Purdue doesn't.  That's enough of an advantage for a Wolverine win.

Nebraska @ Ohio State-   Buckeyes win 31-21

Northwestern @ State Penn-  McGloin a good fit for new offense and they are gelling as a team, Lions win a close one.

Don't play: Iowa, Minnesota

In other National games:  LSU tops Florida, Georgia beats S. Carolina, Texas handles WVU and Notre Dame beats Miami Fla. (Southern Team playing in the low 50's temp.......not good)

I say the big ten goes 5-5 this week.

I got Ohio st.,whisky, Purdue, Penn st. (Norhtwestern is not going to get away with letting teams hang around this week.) and sparty.

As for the others. LSU better come to play for real this weekend or they are gonna chalk up the L this week. Florida is no joke this year and Driksel is gaining confidence. With that said I think LSU gets their stuff together and wins it this week.

UGA/ SC. Gonna be a tough game. UGA is hurting right now and losing their WR is a killer for them. SC is a tough team playing at home. UGA went from being a team that looked poised to possibly contend this year to somewhat depleted real fast. I think they take a step back this weekend as SC gets the W.

I agree ND beats Miami.

And Texas/West Virginia. Hard to go against that offense. Geno has alot of weapons and that offense just tires out defenses. Texas will be no different and I think they hand Texas a loss this weekend.

Get ready for Stanford/Arizona though. That is going to be a fun one to watch.

I still don't see Purdue as a team that can beat Michigan, although they could do it at home.

I'm already in on UM laying 3 and NEB getting 3.5

Illinois @ Wisconsin- I'll go with Wisconsin because Illinois is struggling, and it's always tough to play at Wisconsin.  I wouldn't be surprised if Wisky runs away with it.

Michigan State @ Indiana- Sparty for sure.  Indiana is still Indiana.

Michig*n @ Purdue- This game is at Purdue, and I actually think Purdue will surprise people this year.  I'll go with Purdue.

Nebraska @ Ohio State- Buckeyes will get payback for last year.  I think our team will be ready to go, and the atmosphere should be amazing.

Northwestern @ State Penn- I'm not convinced Nerdwestern is as good as their record indicates, so I'll actually go with PSU.  Still, I wouldn't be shocked by a Nerdwestern win.

I just don't see Purdue hanging around with UM after a bye week.  UM has had two weeks to think about the ND loss, turnovers, and prepare for Purdue's offense.  I see UM as the better offensive and defensive team.

I have the same picks as BuckeyeJason: Wisconsin, Purdue, Sparty, Ohio State, Northwestern.

It's tempting to take Michigan. They easily handled Purdue last year at home coming off the bye week. But I wouldn't read too far into that one outcome. Bye weeks can be very fickle. Hoke, for example, has a so-so lifetime record after bye weeks.

I see Purdue being able to slow down Michigan's run game, keeping Michigan to around 175 yards rushing. Meanwhile, Purdue should be able grind out about 125 - 150 yards on the ground. And that rushing differential won't be favorable enough for "jump ball" Denard.

Keep in mind that Purdue was facing one of the most underrated passing QBs in the nation last week in Marshall's Rakeem Cato. Facing Denard will be much easier.

Obviously, Purdue will be jacked up for the game and will play over their heads.

I'm picking NW because it's a 50/50-type matchup on paper, but I see them as having the morale edge.

Illinois @ Wisconsin - Wisconsin by at least 3 TDs.  Illinois = really bad.

MSU @ Indiana - MSU by 17-27 points.

TSUN @ Purdue - Purdue pulls the minor upset.  Close game - 7 or less.

Nebraska @ Ohio State - Stiff test for the Buckeyes.  Night game in the 'Shoe.  OSU by 7-10 points.

Northwestern @ PSU - NW goes to 6-0.  I'll say the margin is less than 10 points.

Other National games:
-Florida upsets LSU in a thriller
-Georgia beats South Carolina by 7-14
-Texas beats WVU in a thriller - Geno Smith does little or no damage to his Heisman hopes - this will be on the WVU defense
-Oregon destroys Washington just like LSU did
-Notre Dame barely escapes Cryami

I'll even throw in some Ohio NFL picks:
-Bengals beat the Dolphins at home by 10-14 points
-Giants beat the Browns by 14-21 points

Class of 2010.
