I got so hype when I saw the tweet a few minutes ago. We need playmakers on offense and this kid will help. I personally hope we take 3 WR's in this class.

Stevens and Timmons are very different I believe. Stevens is more of a Mike Thomas type, no? Bigger (6'3") more of a posession reciever who will go up and get the ball, rather than Timmons who breaks off plays due to his speed.

Stevens is 6'3", 180 and a #1 WR. Timmons is 5'11", 180 and a slot/RB combo. No resemblance at all IMO. Stevens could impact a offer going out to Timmons though. Both shifty and quick but Stevens has the size we need on the outside! Go get 'em Urban! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VHjmSLbVEww

Personally i think the only player affecting Timmons recruitment is James Quick. Quick is in, Timmons is out. Quick is out, Timmons in (if he waits that long). But adding one of Stevens or Foster would go a long way towards improving our recievers. We need that true number one guy on the outside that Brax or Barrett can throw to in the future and just say "go get it"

Edit - Good someone else posted it. Stevens would be a collossal snag for our recruiting class. Like the Spence commit. No one counld cover Stevens at 7 on 7s. Not even our tauted db recruits.

Just watched his Junior highlights. The way he runs reminds of Terrelle Pryor with those long strides that just pull away from people. Kid looks like he can take the top off a defense and attract two DBs wherever he goes. Urban, reel him in.

^On his twitter his friend mentioned Georgia and he (Tony Stevens) said that'd look great/he wears #8 because he aspires to be the next AJ Green (former Georgia WR). So I'd say it's between Georgia and OSU, personally, with neither really leading. But I don't know anything, just one guy's hunch.
won't be wearing #8 here for awhile unless Southward transfers or lets him have it(doubt it.)
^Kermit Whitfield (former OSU target and FSU commit) said that he thinks Stevens will come to OSU. It's so hard to take anything these kids say seriously. I think we have a great chance to get us a #1!

Don't think Timmons get's an offer unless Gibson fails to get his academics in order, in my opinion.
I do think a Stevens commit would pretty much rule out any chance (if there truly was one) of bringing in Robert Foster.
Overall, by NSD I think ^Hayze's imagined WR class will be the one that we see. If so, what an awesome haul!

Makes sense. One more year and he could go from an offer at an Arkansas program in shambles to possibly one at Georgia or possiblyeven a return to Florida if Muschamp has a couple 8-4 campaigns. I'm really curious is Solich gets back in with the big boys now after his Ohio U success.
Timmons is minimum 5'10 most likely 5' 11" and appears to still be growing definately been putting on muscle and maintaining speed. He is a young senior. Agree that him and Stevens are 2 different styles. I believe Timmons gets that offer maybe this weekend.

Imagine a class with Stevens, Gibson, and either Quick or Timmons to go along with Marshall and Jacobs... Talk about playmakers. That doesn't even include Marcus Baugh... We forget about him filling that TE role all the time.
Gotta think with TY out and whoever the mystery WR is out that we are looking pretty good to some of these WR recruits.

That is an update on Timmons from Bucknuts apparently. It actually sounds like he could get that offer this weekend.
As for Marcus Baugh, I certainly haven't forgotten about him. Another great part of this class so far.
Don't forget that it's been rumored for quite awhile that Chris Fields may transfer after the season is over...pure speculation...I realize that Williams, Southward (if it's him), and Fields hadn't been seeing the field but if they are all indeed gone...then we become thin at WR in terms of depth.
We need to bring at least 2 more if not 3...I'd like to see Quick, Foster, and Gibson in a perfect world but I think Quick, Stevens, and Gibson is more likely. I may be in the minority opinion but I think Quick is a Buckeye and I think it could happen this weekend on his OV.
Time will tell but it is certainly promising to see "big-time" WR recruits looking at OSU as one of their top schools! Love the Urban factor!

OK, this may sound crazy, but can you imagine with all of these 'leaving the program' players (I actually imagine it's more likely a part of an Urban Meyer 'nudged attrition' movement, which I'm ok with)... We could get the likes of Tony Stevens, James Quick, Robert Foster, and Shelton Gibson? It may sound crazy, but we just had 3 scholarship players that were not seeing much playing time leave the team in 2 days. Considering the probable leaving early of Big Hank and Robert Foster still keeping us in his top three...? Time for Waycraken to petition Meyer to let loose a few other marginal contributors and we could see Timmons too!
Once Feb. 1st 2013 hits, then I'll be sure that he's a Buckeye if he commits. These types of "what's popular now" kind of kids make me nervous if he commits at 'The Game'
