I tend to put my faith in the coaches as far as talent evals, and which players ought to receive committable offers, etc., especially when the staff is headed by Urbz, but I find myself almost rooting for Waycraken . . . errr, I mean Timmons.
I just looked into my crystal ball... After a stellar Ohio State career, Timmons chooses Waycraken as his NFL agent. After a slow NFL start, Timmons shines as Waycraken encourages him to persevere in what becomes a real life Jerry Maguire story. Finally, in a strange twist, James Quick joins Waycrakens team as he sees how Timmons has flourished with him. Waycraken goes on to become the most successful agent in history & laughs about the days when many of the 11W community told him Timmons just wasn't good enough.....

^^ Now thats funny. Sheds light on how extreme I must be. Believe me I have tried to tone it down. This is the reason I try to stay away from video games as well.
I'm going to guess and say he doesn't have an offer and his offer is contingent on either A) "missing" on Gibson (grades) or B) "Extra" spot opens up due to early draft entry or more attrition.
However, I hope he gets his offer regardless of these scenarios I have considered. He puts up damn video game stats; I don't even care if the competition is a bit below average (idk if it is?) because he scores everytime he touches the ball.
Just message board speculation, but I doubt that Alex would be teasing a piece hours ahead of time if the content of the article is "Timmons still doesn't have an offer." He might though.
And if he does have an offer, it'll be an offer well-earned. If Waycracken can be believed, the guy seems to score TDs whenever he even sees a football. I know some have questioned his competition, but Timmons is doing what you would expect an OSU recruit to do against weak high school players, complete destruction.
Waycraken wouldn't be jacking the Friday night HS coverage if Timmons wasn't scoring a TD ever 5 seconds! When he replies to the feed about something else and then goes "oh yeah, Timmons just ran in another 57 yarder on his first touch" each and every time, I'm with Waycraken on this one!
Hopefully big news Alex! Been waiting 3 days now since the big night.
Edit: we know you are joking Poison, just pointing out why it seems Waycraken is enthusiastic on Fridays.
I think if Timmons does get an offer, it's because the staff is aware of more attrition (chris fields?) that we haven't heard of yet. I honestly expected them to take another 2 WR's to round out the class, with my guess being Gibson and either Quick or Foster. If Timmons gets his offer then the coaching staff either doesn't feel confident about their chances with some other players on the board or there's just more room.
If OSU was Timmons' dream school and he got an offer, I'd assume he would've committed on the spot... I don't believe he has the offer yet, but I believe the coaching staff gave him a little more insight as to what the circumstances would be for an offer to come. He would be a stud in our system, but we already have Jacobs and Marshall. We need pure WR's, not hybrid position players. I'm more worried about the 2014 QB we take now, with the news of Barrett.
Well I definitely agree that if Timmons gets the offer & becomes a Buckeye, Waycraken should get a free jersey from him. Just make sure it's free & that you DO NOT give him him any money for it!!
Seriously though - that comment I made above is a joke but also a compliment Waycraken...I think there are a lot of people here who now know who Timmons is thanks to your efforts..
The world is full of kings & queens who'll blind your eyes & steal your dreams - it's heaven & hell - Ronnie James Dio.
The coaches know that Timmons is in the bag when/if they offer. Gotta be tough on Timmons. My opinion, coaches are seeing what top talent they can lure in before Timmons gets an offer. Sucks for Timmons because he wants to be a Buckeye. Kid just needs to keep a great attitude & keep scoring TD's. If it was meant to be then it will happen.
What do the coaches do if Foster wants to pull the trigger. Do you take Foster, super talented (some issues) over a kid who may be less talented (Timmons) but really loves tOSU? decisions decisions
Jacobs is faster i believe? I really see him as someone we run crossing patterns with all day to try and take advantage of Lbs in coverage. I remember the nc game against florida where it seems like they ran those all damn day.
Waycraken, I don't think Taivon was at FNL, but Timmons did race against the likes of Devon Allen, Shelton Gibson, Braxton Berrios, and Dareian Watkins.
Waycracken, I gotta say, I tip my hat to you. I mean, people tease you left and right on here, and you take it all in stride; while remaining consistent in your enthusiasm for Timmons. You sir, are a pro. The internet needs more people like you that can actually take jokes. Cheers!
Agree, Hodge. Waycracken gets more than his fair share of ribbing around here. But he never gives an inch. I'm actively rooting for a Timmons offer and commitment just to see the reaction (plus I think he's for real)!
Enthusiasm like that is why BuckeyeNation is so great.
I feel a lot of solid energy comin' outta ya.
Good, positive aura. Great. Great. It's all great.
Harness in the good energy, block out the bad. Harness. Energy. Block. Bad. It's like a carousel. You put the quarter in, you get on the horse, it goes up and down, and around. Circular, circle. Feel it. Go with the flow.
When told OSU set school record for 50+ games this year, UFM said "That's good. We're gonna break that next year."
In the end we are all on the same team (say for a few of us) and want what's best for this program and that's getting the best talent in the country to put on the Scarlet and Gray! I would love to see Timmons get an offer. Not only his he a talented player but wants to be a Buckeye. This is why the scholly restrictions hurt. We miss out on very talented players. Especially fast skill-position players.
Ive said it before ill say it again i would love to see a combo of Jacobs and Timmons on kickoffs i think they could give us something we havent had back there since Teddy and Santonio.
Waycracken, you've done a stellar job keeping us informed on Timmons. As I've said before, I never would have known about him if not for your posts. I hope Ryan gets offered by the Staff. He seems like a quality young man as well as a gifted athlete.
An angry fan...rooting for an angry team...led by angry coaches
Thanks to everyones kind words. I have had support on here many times from many of you. Since I put something out in a public forum I have to expect not everyone will agree with my point of view. A few times its been tough to ignore but I tried my best and it was in those times several of you on here I believe recognized the times I struggled to respond. Enough of that This is all about our Ohio State Buckeyes and may we land the best recruits possible.
I thought they were annoying at first, but now I enjoy them. Anyone who scores 33 touchdwons in 8 games is always welcome aboard. He is perfect for our team.
check this out! 35 second mark in film. This team was ranked top ten in state and was state runner up in Div 5A. These kids do not look like great competitors either but in fact they are very good. You will enjoy a move that literally takes out 3 would be tacklers at one time while he breaks the ankles of the 4th.
ryan comes from a great family, isnt conceited, his mother will have to be convinced of his choice of college, he also has a twin sister who is quite an athlete herself, heard rumors he may follow her to college. he is active in his church too. a humble young man. high character.
I understand that we want the top talent, but at some point don't you have to reward a guy like this who just DESIRES to play for you and will WORK for you without any persuasion? I'm not saying take on 1-star charity cases, but I'd rather have someone like this who does have talent (3 or so star talent), just maybe not the level of obvious talent a guy like Stefon Diggs has, but that we don't have to convince to be a Buckeye.
I think maybe I'm being too naive/idealistic, but that's how I feel when this sort of thing comes up.
Not sure if Timmons "bleeds scarlet and gray" though. He likes the offense, with good reason, but you're describing guys like Kyle Meadows, and other lesser rated prospects who grew up as huge fans and would kill for an offer
Looking forward to this one, thanks Alex.
Waycraken is going to hyperventilate until you do Alex. Better hurry it up!

^^^^ This whole thread cracks me up. THanks for making this Tuesday not so...well....so Tuesday.
How Firm Thy Friendship....
Hey, if this kid ends up being a star, you're a visionary! He's playing himself into a lot of big school conversations, that's for sure.
I'm going to guess and say he doesn't have an offer and his offer is contingent on either A) "missing" on Gibson (grades) or B) "Extra" spot opens up due to early draft entry or more attrition.

Champions Bleed Scarlet & Gray
@Waycracken if Timmons ends up with an offer will you promise to stop hijacking the friday night threads? :D
Just kidding, I admire your persistence. If Timmons gets an offer you should get a free jersey or something.

IMO Timmons>Jacobs
I like Timmons alot as a player in this system. I like Jacobs also, but I think Timmons will fit better in this offense & Timmons is the real deal.
#Buckeyes

Did Jacobs go to FNL? If he did hes not faster. Timmons best times are 4.35 40 and 10.61 100
Jacobs highlight video says 4.35 on it as well. I think it's safe to say both players are extremely fast
Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite
WAYCRAKEN just nutted in his pants! In all honesty I love the updates WAYCRAKEN provides to this board. Keep it up buddy. Go Bucks!

I for one love Waycrakens in game updates on how well Timmons is performing every week. Keep it up pal. I'm pulling for an offer for the kid now.
