I usually pick them to lose every week, it's a gauranteed plus 1 for me every week on the win chart. But I picked them to win this week, Richardson's been heating up (even though he's been a non factor in this weeks game), Brandon Weeden is a good QB (I admit I was wrong about him), & Joe Haden is back. We've played everyone pretty close, I remember thinking the past few weeks that if Haden was in there it would all be a different story out there with him making a couple more plays go our way. He has an interception, but he also got beat by Green.. who cares. We're winning, I can break it down all I want, but I can never really explain why the score doesn't surprise me today. Speaking of Joe Haden, that's Meyer's guy out there. That's why I have faith that the Buckeyes D will improve eventually, with talent like that. Haden was a 3 star QB coming out of high school if I'm not mistaken.
Living in the south as I do, I rarely get a chance to watch the Brownies. I did catch the Thursday night game against Baltimore, in which they put up a respectable fight. It is encouraging to me that some of the young players (Haden, Richardson, Weeden) are playing well. The defense has been above average. If the offense can rise to that level, I see some more wins in the future.
Look what Josh Gordon has been doing lately, he's gonna be alright. I say next year we spend our 1st pick on a defensive player, & our 2nd pick on a offensive guy. I think they have enough stability to start investing on both sides of the ball now.
I've been a Browns fan my whole life and I've seen a lot. As good as it was to finally get a win, I think the game today said more about the Bengals than it did Cleveland.
Sorry Cincinnati, but the Bengals are just not ready for the big time. Coming into this year I heard quite a few people saying how good the Bengals were gonna be and how they were ready to do big things. Nope. Sorry, they can't handle it when expectations are high. They don't know how to handle success.
I keep seeing NFL "power rankings" with the Browns at the bottom, but this team is definitely not the worst in the NFL. There is hope for the future in Cleveland IMHO. Now in Kansas City, absolutely ZERO HOPE. The Chiefs have now gone 6 games with out ever having a lead in regulation. Not for 1 second. Now that is far and away the worst team in the NFL.
The Browns have a really talented D-line, D'Qwell Jackson and no one else at LB, and Ward and Haden as the only good players in the secondary. Hopefully Skrine/Wade step up in the near future as the other CB, but another safety is needed badly as Young and Gipson (sp?) suck, although Gipson is a rookie. On the offensive side Gordon has been the most surprising WR, Little has asbsolutely sucked and Josh Cooper needs to be permanently promoted from the Scout team to the 53-man roster. Cameron should get more snaps at TE, and Marecic absolutely blows at FB. The tackles (Thomas and Schwartz) are good, as is Mack, but the guards suck. Weeden and Richardson will be the faces of the franchise for the next few years, and they've turned out to be two pretty good 1st round picks.
They've been close in every game... was only a matter of time.
They'll blow it
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

It's 5 o'clock somewhere, & Michigan still sucks
This is what happens when Joe Haden bolsters the secondary, and the team plays like they have while still cutting out some errors

remember, we don't have a 2nd rd. pick
and I was hoping for 0-16 still the Bungles after all these years. I still think that Halsam will clean house
It's just nice to get a win. It has been a rough go so far.
These guys have been close week after week. It shouldnt have came as a shock that when Haden came back we were going to be able to get it done.
