It seemed like there was quite a bit of buzz around him over the summer. I can only remember him playing on D in one game thus far. Just wondering if anyone has info on him. I thought he was going to make more of an impact this year.
PHONE'S RINGING -- IT'S URBAN ON THE LINE

Seems like he might be losing ground. I was wondering the same thing this weekend, I think they had a shot of him standing on the sidlines. I wonder if we are going to see some D lineman start to transfer. With the freshmen that have already moved up the depth charts and the incoming recruits, it seems like we might see a player or two leave for a team with less depth/talent. Any thoughts on possible transfers on the D line?

I love it when he plays "The Joker"
He had a sack against UCF. There are a lot of Dline to get time on the field, there is little chances for anyone to shine. If anything, I wouldn't say he has been the biggest dissapointment.

^^^That would probably mean that your "Big Ol' Jet Airliner" has carried you too far away.
I don't get why we had 3 freshman in at the end of the game against Cal (D-Line) yet not at all against MSU at any time (that I noticed).
I get that we have a 5 main d-lineman (Goebel, Simon, Hankings, Williams, Bennet) but why noit keep them fresher? Obviously the coaches know more about this than I do, but it seems like that was the strategy and we went away from it. I never really noticed the underclassman d-line players making mistakes, in fact they have played pretty well it seemed. If I recall correctly, Washington, Spence and Miller all have at least one sack and Schutt has played some meaningfull minutes.
Steve Miller hasn't played in the last 3 games. Maybe something is going on. Freshmen weren't on the field against MSU and despite how well they have been playing, the best showing so far was against MSU. Maybe should stick with that for Nebraska and then let the freshmen get some major PT against Indiana.
@cc, Vrabel is on the record as advocating for the NFL style of playing your starters on d-line for the longest possible period of time, which is contrary to Heacock's past practice of rotating players, and also from Urban's preferred method of platooning the D-line to keep them fresh. I think Urban is going with Vrabel's theory for now but we could see it change if the d-line struggles against Nebraska or other squads.
I thought Meyer said Washington and Spence are at their best as pass rushers. Versus MSU we needed our run stoppers on the field which might explain why we didnt see them as much. Also the return of Michael Bennett ate up some plays that might have otherwise gone to Miller and the Frosh.
