That was one of my favorite plays last night. I know it was the end of a long run, but I thought Shazier made a huge statement when K. Bell stiff-armed him and Shazier facemasked him so hard he had to come out of the game. He kinda said FU and it got me REALLY juiced up! I always hated getting stiff armed and I thought the penalty was TOTALLY worth it.
My other two fav moments were the Rod Smith TD and Hyde and Boren with the no-homo Bro Hug in the end zone. Word.
It should have been off setting facemask penalties; one on Shazier and one on #80's "stiff arm" for Neb.

I don't like that Shazier face masked the way he did. You can break a guys neck... On the other hand Bell had gotten away with 2 facemasks during that run. Just because a guy is on offense & throwing a stiff arm doesn't mean it's ok to grab on to a tacklers facemask & hold it which is what he did - so I do think that is why Shazier ended up doing what he did.

I think the only reason R.Shazier facemaked that guy is because the guy was holding onto his facemask. I had no problem at all w/that penalty. Which as some posted above should've been offset, by an offensive FM penalty.
Spot on BuckinBama. 80 had a hold of Shaziers facemask the whole time. Not much of a stiff arm, just trying to push his face down so Shazier returned the favor and won that battle. I loved it as well. If he doesn't pull him down by the mask and takes the stiff are, the kid scores any ways. There were a few instances where a stiff arm from the Nebraska players turned into grabbing the mask of a Buckeye. The Shazier play was the only instance where it backfired on them though.

No fan of it either, but I''l bet that kid from Nebraska thinks twice about hanging onto a defenders facemask again. Shazier almost removed his head from his neck. If you've got to get a facemask, you might as well get a "DAMN" facemask.
