Great to see him have a great night while honoring his late friend. I'm pretty sure we all know who he was pointing to after his pick six (about DAMN time he takes one!). Kudos to our much needed star linebacker! Keep busting heads...is he the next great OSU linebacker? It's been a few seasons since an All American lined up there for the S&G

I don't think there's any question about his athleticism (I'd say outside of perhaps Bradley Roby, he's the most athletic person on our defense), but hopefully he just keeps learning the defensive scheme and I think he'll be a great one. Tonight was just a flash of what I think he's capable of!
Plus he is starting to play under control, forget the roughing penalty. Once he has that figured out, watch out. He has everything else needed to be a great LB.
He made that 7 points his own, a sack followed by a pick 6
O H I O is the Buckeye State
He is the real deal. I'm hoping he will get some help at linebacker in the next couple years too.
the guy is freakishly athletic... wait til urbs gets all his boys in here the big ten is done if they cant win this yr lol
mark may wins douchebag of the year... again
Shazier is special. There's just no other way to describe him.
Does anyone know where to find the defensive statistics for the game?
I didn't mind the roughing penalty. Obviously, the result was bad, but it's a split second difference between a late hit (roughing the QB) and getting a good legal shot on the QB. The goal is to get Shazier and other defenders to play right up to the edge, but not quite over it, and it's a learning process. It was not a mental mistake by Shazier, per se. More of a reaction deficiency, which can only be corrected by playing on both sides of "the edge."
This is the best I could find... >> http://www.cfbstats.com/2012/team/518/tackle/gamelog.html
He should Stick with #48 Worked out well. Honor your friend by remembering him everytime you put on the S&G.
Dustin Fox was our leading tackler as a corner.... because his guy always caught the ball.
Best OLB here since Hawk..that's right, he'll be better than Freeman and Homan. He exceeded my expectations this year.
Run_Fido's favorite word is strawman.
Great game by Shazier lastnight! I'd like ot see him put on another 10-15 pounds and learn to shed blocks better but he is as good of an athlete at LB that we have ever had.
Should we start talking about the Boren Effect? Having an active, smart, accountable LB back there with Shazier seems to have really settled him down and allowed him to be explosive. Ryan was dominant last night, no doubt about it. B1G Defensive Player of the week.
"Sophomore". Say that and smile.
SHAZIER. That is all.
Wait until you see what Shazier looks like after another year under Marotti...he has room on that frame to carry more muscle and will definitely get bigger.
D. Anthony
PICK SIX!
An angry fan...rooting for an angry team...led by angry coaches
I think 48 is a better linebacker number than 10. He should stick with it. I like linebacker numbers in the 30's 40's and 50's better.
Couldn't have asked for a better play when he's honoring his buddy!
