I'd hope not. I got ejected from a pee-wee football game once for headbutting a guy on the other team in the belly. But I'm still a good person--I swear! Haha
Thought he was at Bama starting today for an OV...how could he be playing football in Pennsylvania and taking an OV in Tuscaloosa at the same time? Or have I completely missed something?
I saw the tweet too... He is going to be suspended for his team's first round playoff game. There's a difference between passionate and being stupid... You can't get ejected and get suspended going into the playoffs. I say we pull the plug and go all in on Stevens and North for our outside guy.
I just don't understand the willful blindness on this site when it comes to Foster. This guy is a walking, talking, tweeting red flag. Sure, his talent is elite, but we CANNOT take any risks with athletes that are KNOWN to have off-the-field issues and attitude problems. We are on probation. This isn't the time to gamble on another immature kid.
Especially when we have equally talented athletes with an exemplary off-the-field record at that position that we are likely to land such as Elder, etc.
BuckeyeInSEC, I agree with you that their rankings and height aren't perfectly aligned. But I would argue that for the offense we run, guys like Elder are more valuable because speed trumps height in Urban Meyer offenses.
It all comes down to: is Foster's potential as a playmaker worth his potential as another Terrell's Pryor--ie, someone whose off the field issues cost us victories, our coach, and threaten this very hallowed and storied football program.
That's a rhetorical question. The answer is no. He's not a must-have. Guys like Marshall and Elder are more likely to make an impact on this offense anyways. Move on Foster fans.
then there is ryan timmons who wants to be a buckeye, who catches everything thrown to him, who hangs onto the ball always, is a model citizen and student, is active in his church, and he cant get a scholarship. is fast and very coachable. am i missing something here?
@BuckeyeinNYC: I guess it just depends on what you consider a red flag. For example, I was looking at the tweets from one of the guys we're still recruiting heavily the other day (not Foster), and over the last month he's tweeted the name of a gang (an actual "we kill people and sell drugs" gang, not boys will be boys sort of gang) as a shout-out/hashtag on at least 3 or 4 different occasions. The reason I'm familiar with the gang at all is because I spend a lot of time in Chicago w/my dad's side of the family. Outside of that, he seems like a perfectly good kid.
I just think it's dangerous to necessarily write someone off as a good or bad person without us knowing them personally.
Stu, the Buckeye coaching staff and several other elite staffs do indeed seem to think you're missing something. Not saying they're right in this case, but "you can't coach size."
i say they need to try hard to get foster and not worry about his baggage and attitude and immaturity. forget the kid who has a clue. perhaps foster will do more than just get a tattoo.
If it's true Foster was ejected, then I'd have to lean toward hoping the staff moves on. Among the taller receivers, I think Tony Stevens would be a great addition (and perhaps most likely) to this class.
It appears he was ejected after receiving his second personal foul penalty in the first half for after the whistle activity (late hits, taunting, etc.)
Then he refused to shake hands with the other team after game
Add me to the list of people who does not want this kid to be a buckeye
Edit: It was his second in the first half, not his third, that got him ejected

I used to get ejected from columbus public schools for fighting all the time no biggie just means he's passionate..
"GIMMIE THAT BEAT FOOL!!! IT'S A FULL TIME JACK MOVE" Ice Cube jack for beats..
I would think this just about ends it if there was any chance going into this incident.
Favorite Buckeye: Obviously BJ Mullens

Champions Bleed Scarlet & Gray
My guess it would all depend on what he did to get ejected.

but i want foster wahhhhhh!!!
Drewbuckeye, you don't have to wear a helmet by chance do you?
Just curious

Foster is 6-3
Elder is 5-10
They're two totally different types of players. Can't compare them. They will be used in different ways.
I do agree we can't take a chance on Foster tho. Just don't think Elder can fill the role Foster would.
Also according to Rivals... Foster is #70, Elder is #215... Foster is a better football player than Elder.

oh and that was sarcasm if anyone didnt get it. and please bring on another downvote or two, i can care less.
urbs knows what he wants and needs... other than that your guess is as good as mine
mark may wins douchebag of the year... again
No.
Time to move on and finally forget about Foster. Let him be someone else's headache

How about we get all opinionated when we know why...?
Rober Foster will be the next Isaiah Crowell.
~Because we couldn't go for three~

Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite
If this is true he would be perfect for the SEC. What good would he be for the team if he cant keep himself on the field?
O H I O is the Buckeye State
If we get him and he gets into any type of trouble, I can hear Herbie already...
So this is how Alabama has pulled in so many recruits--they bought Robert Foster a Roll Tide cookie cake! Nick Saban, you evil genius!
i am all for not having foster being a buckeye.
That seems like it would be against NCAA rules. If you can't give people shmeer on a bagel, I doubt you can give them a cookie cake...
So thats the secret to Alabama's success.. Cookie cake!
Foster and Timmons are not looked at for the same position, so I'd say that point is counterintuitive. That being said, cut him off.
Reminds me of that famous line from Platoon, " I got a bad feeling about this one, Bob".
An angry fan...rooting for an angry team...led by angry coaches
