Regardless of the Outcome...

I know there's 5 minutes left in the game, but it's time for you guys to stop doubting Notre Dame. I'm all for continuing to hate them, definitely. But they are definitely for real.

Te'o just came up with a huge int for north dame. Still not totally sold on them totally, but we shall see on,y USC is tough left for them.

I agree.  Taking down Oklahoma on the road is an impressive thing to do.  They are the real deal after so so many years of hearing how they were going to win it all, this time they may actually make it to the NC.

Yes there are two Buckeyes in Ann arbor on this site!

I think there was only two of us that gave ND a shot at winning this game. Me being one of them. I will take being right this week even though I hate ND

I have not been on the Notre Dame-doubting wagon this season, but even I didn't think they were going to roll into Norman and win. Don't get me wrong, I f**king despise Notre Dame, Brian Kelly and their fans, but I'm also a guy who loves good defense and fundamental football, and nobody other than Alabama has done those two things better this year.

With that said, Alabama would still curbstomp them. I still think it goes:

1. Alabama

.

.

.

2. Oregon

3. Kansas State

.

.

4. Notre Dame

There is no way the gap between 2,3and 4 is that big. Not at all.

For me their defense was never the question, it's elite w/out a doubt (I'd say top 3). The offense was the real question, and on that front I was REALLY impressed by Everett Golston tonight. He made the right decision in every situation, kept so many plays alive that they were eventually able to get some points on the board.

I think Alabama is better by a nose, but I'd put ND right there w/Oregon at #2. I tend to think ND's style of Defense-first football would actually make them a better matchup for Alabama (ala the 1st LSU-Alabama game last year) than Oregon would be.

Not an INT IMO... but clearly ND is better than I thought (hoped). Somehow their offense is adequate enough (maybe just like the 2002 bucks?) to win. Nasty D.

2002 Bucks is exactly what their offense reminds me of. Not great, but they get it done when they need to, and then just ride the defense.

Yup, this team is for real.  30-13 in Norman?  If Oklahoma won 65-20 no one would have batted an eye.  Gotta respect the Irish.  They're bringing it this year.  It's unfortunate for them that USC is shitting the bed, but I think this win should be the difference between ND and Oregon.

That is the best the offense has played all season. That is nowhere close to the 2002 team tonight. Open to close they brought the game.

I have no desire to see ND in the title game... I want Bama vs Oregon... The best offense vs the best defense...

I hope ND goes undefeated. It will make seeing the SEC win another national title less painful.

Definitely impressed with Notre Dame. My Top 5 in order would be: Kansas State, Notre Dame, Alabama, Oregon and Oregon State.

USC's schedule sets them up nicely to be 11-0 before going to L.A. to play USC for their last game. Granted the USC game doesn't look as good with them losing to Arizona today, but it will be ND's final test. At this point you might as well pencil them in for a BCS bowl, but if Bama, Oregon, and Kansas State end up undefeated as well, I think ND is on the outside looking in. Those teams will be at 13-0 after playing in conference championship games while ND sits at home @ 12-0.

I think Mark May should be forced to watch the highlights of OSU's 72-0 trouncing over Pitt everytime he picks against us and we win.
