Is it really an option at this point? He played in 3 games. Does anyone know the limits for a redshirt? I'm guessing a medical redshirt is more likely.
I say no to both. No offense to Jordan Hall, but with Jalin and Zeke coming in I think we are ok filling that role in the offense. I would rather have the scholly available for someone else given the option.

He is eligible to medically redshirt u can med red up to 30 percent of your season played or total snaps played. I dont believe he has played in 30 percent of games thus far.
I believe you can only take a med red if the player is medically unable to play. It looks like Hall will be back in late October or November, and therefore is unable to redshirt. Could be wrong though, that's just how I always interpreted it.
He can be unable to play easily not hard to say your hurt... but idk I understand the point of us needing him but we could surly use him next season as well. When it actually matters.
Just looked it up, it has to be a season-ending injury and the medical redshirt must be granted by the NCAA. So I'm guessing an NCAA doctor would have to deem Hall incapable of playing the rest of the season, kinda hard to fake that.
uhhh. I don't think the NCAA has any doctors on their staff. If he doesn't dress any more this season because tOSU medical staff says he is injured then he would probably qualify for a med redshirt. I don't see it happening though. Redshirt means 1 less signee and Urban doesn't want that.
No. NCAA just turned down a BC reciever that filed for medical redshirt, and he only played in one game last year. Hall would have to give a legit medical reason for sitting out the whole year to be granted a redshirt, not just "I want a redshirt so I'm going to sit the last 3 games even though I could play."
Redshirt the "only" guy meyer was confident enough not to play in the spring game? IMO He gives coordinators fits for what he "could" be in this offense.
I don't think hall would be up for it. He has paid his dues for the team and is still there best player at his position. He should play out the year and take his chances at the combine.
He has a PCL tear which can be season ending. If he needs surgery, he is done. It is a waiting game to see how he responds to treatment. I just read an article on it stating if he is rushed back, it can cause lifetime problems. I am sure the staff will do all they can to make sure he is healed 100% before letting him play again......unlike that other staff up north.
Jordan may not want another year of freak injuries and cursed luck. At his pace he would get the redshirt approved and get a serious infection in the papercut from the letter. It just seems like it was never meant to be for him.
Played too much already I believe. Either way Urban likes him touch to redshirt him this season.

He will probably be able to play in November games, the injury isn't terribly serious from what I've heard.

Thanks for looking it up. I still think it's unlikely because he'll be used later this season.

Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite
