Apparently Ohio State believes Dorian Johnson (Belle Vernon, PA) is a recruit that they have on lock and will be committing soon

Inside source: Schools having a hard time accepting Robert Foster, causing problems with his recruitment. May have to go to JUCO.

i think Dorian is a lock
I think the on-field performance has opened many 'old' recruits eyes as to where they could fit in this new Ohio State team. Early commits (non OSU) are wavering. I think we should see a phenominal end to the '13 class and moving forward with the upcoming classes.
Love the quick bits. Keep up the good work.
Man it's crazy to think that R. Foster could go from being a five-star stud to just another statistic. I guess that's what a few character flaws and a complete disregard for academia will do. Hope he goes far away and gets his sh@t together because that is a ton of talent that could go to waste.
The Bill Greene tweet was wrong. Conley said he "might" visit. Right now, he has no plans to.
I've heard from family in Massillon that Conley really likes Oregon right now. It's a rumor, but I don't see him staying committed much longer.
I'd rather see Conley in Eugene than in that whorish town, Ann Arbor...still a slut, even after all these years
If I understand correctly, Conley has family out west
Johnson would be a tremendous addition to this class! It would be great to snatch a once considered Pitt lock and tick off Mark May.
I wouldn't be upset if we got johnson and dawson for our offensive line.
David Dawson told Michael Chung it is neck and neck between OSU and MSU. So, yeah, Johnson and Dawson would be ok. Then add Mitchell, Bell, Stevens, Quick, and Gibson and we're good. Urban recently stated there would be more attrition as there are some that just refuse to "get" it.
Always thought and still think that Dorian Johnson will end up at OSU, if he wanted to go to Pitt he would've already before he committed to PSU.
Favorite Buckeye: Obviously BJ Mullens
I asked who he thought may have advantage (Dawson), here's the answer:
Michael Chung @MChungOZone
@216dotcom OSU, one of his heros is Orlando Pace. He may want out of Michigan. Actually think he will head SEC but he says OSU and MSU tied.

Do you think the recent fantastic play of our OL is keeping these OL recruits very interested in OSU?
Great stuff as always.. Decker,Johnson,Dawson,Dodson, looks like a nice future OLine
And Boren. I think Boren is going to end up being a first team Bigten center before his career is over.
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men
Lisle too. OConnor
Gardner. Elflein. Let's not be suckers for the ratings
I realized I forgot him(Gardner).. Any kid that wants an OSU offer so bad he loses 40lbs. is a kid I want to play here. I was listening to a bucknuts podcast and they said he is a real road grader and will play guard..
Haha Michigan must have done something to really piss Dawson off.
Can you imagine the change in the Oline haul this year by potentially adding Dawson and Johnson?!
Yeah I'd say Dawson, Johnson, Lisle and Gardner is a haul comparable to Michigan's, about which they brag so much
Thought Dawson was a lock to UF
Wow! This is one of the best quick bits I've seen in a long time. A Dawson & Johnson combo would be great! You can never have enough depth on the lines. One downfall of this is that it would probably seal the fate of Timmons not being a Buckeye.
If Conley visits either school doesn't that seal his fate at scUM? I thought Hoke doesn't allow commits to visit or he'll pull the scholly.
Thanks Gene for your efforts and the time you put in!
Appreciate the post Gene!
Holy, I think ur right or that's the way I understand it. Conley is good he looked legit. Vs my beloved bulldogs.

stark county football
I think that ideally, we finish with Conley, Dawson, Johnson, Gibson, Elder, Mitchell, and Moore. That would be such an insane class.
I wouldn't cheer for Michigan if they were playing the Taliban.
Ideally for me we'd finish with Johnson, Dawson, Bell, Gibson, Quick, Foster, Mitchell, and another LB (Trey Johnson, Skai Moore, Worley).
I wouldn't be upset with adding Conley though.
RT @MChungOZone Dorian Johnson texted to me that Pitt still leads for now.
Crap
Pat Elflein won the freshman lifting competition where all the commits bench press and squat and all. Pat destroyed the competetion and rep'd 225 31 times. I've seen him do it myself at the gym. Kid is a monster but they have him a Center which is weird because his footwork is top notch. Top tier wrestler in high school and after he benched that Spence got frusterated that he got beat and was jabbing at him. Pat has a higher ceiling than Jacoby.
^^^ive learned not to underestimate the drive and otherworldly manliness of a Boren.
haha very fair,i would say jacoby isn't the football player both brothers were. he's got zach's height and justin's frame. Very akward for a lineman. there's a dropoff in talent after zach in the family tree.(respectable)
Regarding Dorian Johnson, I'm guessing that we either lead or are tied with Pitt right now. Should he commit to us, he won't say we lead until he acutally commits, just to prevent as much backlash as possible from the hometown crowd.
Johnson and Dawson together would make our class, period. This would be a situation where Meyer addressing our needs pretty well with Lisle and Gardner suddenly becomes a haul. Let's wait and see how it all pans out, of course (I could see Dawson going elsewhere if Johnson should suddenly commit, for instance), but just being in the conversation with these kids as we head towards bowl season is great.
The Foster grade situation is telling. You simply cannot turn it on academically your senior year and make up ground, especially as it relates to the ACT or SAT.
Great reporting. Makes surfing and watching football simultaneoulsy even more enjoyable.
Who creates these rumors that Dorian is a lock, when obviously he isn't?
If I recall correctly, isn't Dawson a guard and Johnson a tackle? I would think either committing would end up being a strong point for the other as they'd know they'd have top tier talent next to them as well.
@Braxton, from what I've read, it appears that the staff thinks Johnson is a lock and may not be far from committing.
Very encouraging I.8.
Johnson and Dawson would give OSU the best Oline hauls this year.
i beleive he's coming just from what i've heard and i don't really think paul chryst has that much influence on dorian to make it the the nfl. Urbz prolly told him that no matter where he goes he's making it to the leauge. Why not come here and win a national championship and try to be the best on the best team in america. Why settle for pittsburgh that's like settleing for mediocrocy.
Frankly Warriner has showed that he has been a top notch OLine coach. He took a glaring weakness and made them into a force that has dominated teams (especially in the second half). With a few more top notch prospects he could easily develop them into one of the top lines in the country. Chryst deserves his due, but he doesn't have to go to Pitt to get that top notch coaching anyways.
Johnson still has Pitt in the lead? I think this ship has sailed. Pitt has lost to every quality opponent they have faced and could very well lose the rest of their games looking at their schedule. It seems that Johnson doesnt really care about playing at a competitive school, he wants early playing time and/or to be close to home. I am simply baffled.
