Based on how much exposure Nike has given these jerseys over the past couple of seasons, at this point (i.e. no exposure) things just seem really odd. Nike likes to make money, so I think we can rule out the jerseys and line of apparel rolling out for Wisconsin (wouldn't leave the fanbase with much time to gobble up everything that rolls out). It's going to be Michigan for obvious reasons: it will be a high profile game, will coincide with the holiday season, etc. But, it's just really friggin odd that there has been literally ZERO info on this year's jersey. Was there disagreement on the design? Are the jerseys going to be revealed when we walk out of the tunnel (as many on 11W have said)? I just want to know already.

The Pro Combats I have seen this year have either been:
a. Really Cool
b. Eye Gougingly Horrific
There is no in between with these uniforms. I hope that ours lean more towards cool.

@Remington: there was some speculation a week or two ago that it might be for Wisconsin. I never believed that we would be wearing Pro Combats for any game but Michigan.

I don't think that Nike advertised MSU's jerseys, either. It was leaked via twitter, since someone posted a pic of the chrome-effect helmet.
Nike has said we'll be wearing "rivalry" uniforms, which is the exact same thing that MSU's jerseys were. Therefore, it's logical to assume that there will be little or no warning about when we wear said uniforms. Odds are, that with Nike tapping MSU to sport rivalry uniforms against Michigan, it would be unlikely that they'd cross-promote against the same team. To me, at least, this makes the Wisconsin idea a lot more likely.

I have a few friends of mine who work at The Ohio State team shop in the Schott. They provide all the gear for football, basketball, etc.. My friend claims that he has talked with his boss and he was told that we are NOT getting pro combat uniforms this season. This could explain why there has been no mention of the jerseys or a release of a legit teaser.
Take it for what its worth. I hope we do get pro combat uniforms as I am in desperate need of a new jersey for myself!

I thought the MSU helmets looked like Christmas ornaments. And that's not a compliment. :)
Haven't looked at the contract that closely to say one way or the other. There have been so many differing stories that it's hard to know anything at this point.
I believe if they are going to be anything, it will be in line with the celebration and anniversary of the 02 team, and they will look like the jerseys from 96-05

Are we for sure certain that we signed a 4 year deal? Is there anyway that the public can view the document? Not sure if it's possible to have a 3 year deal with a 4th year club option haha.
Still hoping for pro combat uniforms. Would love to see more black incorporated.
Here's another theory:
The Michigan game will be the tenth anniversary of that fabled '02 squad, and they're going to be honored that day. So why not have Nike release a "rivalry" uniform that looks like the ones we wore ten years ago?

Here's my question: are the cleats pictured here the new OSU "rivalry" series shoes that Nike just released?
I guess I may be the only person that doesn't really care one way or another about Pro-Combat uniforms. I just don't understand all the hype and foaming at the mouth over them and all the talk about leaks and fakes and all that. I know lots of people like them, and that's cool, but I guess I'm just a fuddy duddy in that I could really care less. Honestly though, why is everyone get so worked up about these uniforms?
Hodge: kind of more or less looks like a modification of what we currently are. There doesn't appear to be additional sleeve stripes, although the shoulder numbers do look bigger. The pants look noticeably darker.
TennBuckeye: I'm a uni whore in that I love reading Uni Watch and appreciate the aesthetics of these sorts of things. I agree that OSU-Michigan shouldn't be touched with in any way, shape, or form. But, if we're getting an alternate uni, I want to see the damn thing.
I'm not one who believes the uniform is sacred and shouldn't be touched or manipulated or anything. It doesn't bother me that they do alternate uniforms, I just don't get excited about it like others do. I just figure I'll see it when I see it. I do agree though that it's mighty strange we haven't seen them yet, if in fact we will be wearing alternates this year.
