See notes below
* Ohio State deflates Purdue on a comback win for the record books. The win more than makes up for the let down last year in West Layfette.
* Which win over Purdue do you enjoy more @ Purdue in 2001 or Purdue 2012?
* Blogger predictions are up for the last game. OSU didn't cover the spread or over/under nor our predicted O/U but a win is a win. Closest prediction was given by SJ52. Congrads!
* Across the field: Purdue. I was beat to the punch, check this out http://www.elevenwarriors.com/forum/football/2012/10/the-boilermakers-perspective
* Ever wonder what if the Ohio State 2006 football team took on the Longhorns of 2005 or any match up of your desired. Check out this link http://www.whatifsports.com/locker/. Works pretty well for NCAAB, NFL and other sports one may be interested in.
* For those of you traveling to Penn State do so carefully. I'm sure you've seen the (video) of the OSU fans getting hit with a can. Penn State can get pretty hostile. Check out these old forum topics; great discussion about PSU and the fans. http://www.elevenwarriors.com/forum/football/2012/08/most-unlikable-fans-penn-state-or-michigan, http://www.elevenwarriors.com/forum/football/2012/10/psu-visit, http://www.elevenwarriors.com/forum/football/2012/07/stadiums-around-the-b1g,
* PSU opens as a 2.5 favorite to win.
* Lets hope for the same results of 2009 against penn state and not 2005. Throw up your predictions and I'll post them on the blogger. http://buckeyelounge.blogspot.com
If anyone knows how to post links without the URL showing and displaying i.e. "OSU fans reaction" that would be great.

31-27 OSU
34-24 PSU
Less than stellar play finally catches up to us this week. 35-24 PSU.
I think this is the week our deficiencies finally come back to get us:
- Offense that ignores the 1st quarter
- No depth at LB
- Over-rated D-line (lets be honest)
- Flat play overall
- Respect the Rivalry -
wow..lots of downers on here...i more than agree that this team has its problems..but in 8 games so far this year they have found a way to get the job done. no better example of that than this weekend..with what seemed like half of the 2 deep injured and ALL the calls going the other way..a kickoff returned for a TD..literally EVERYTHING going wrong and they found a way to win..not to mention having who im totally convinced is the best in the business at the helm..until this team loses ill give them the benefit of the doubt..Mcgloin isnt going to pick this secondary apart..they wont be able to run the ball..at best on offense theyll hit a few quick hitters to move the ball..but overall they play to our defense much like Sparty did..their defense will pose some problems..hyde probably wont have too much success..overall running the ball will be difficult..but they will put up enough points not to get mcgloined..21-13 good guys
Well i like college and i like football...and im gunna keep doin em both cause they make me feel good!!!
As long as Matt McGloin is Penn State's QB, we have a chance.

Boom Boom Chhhh Boom Boom Chhhhh
35 - 0. Bucks.
Boom Boom Chhhh
38-35 Buckeyes
Battles are sometimes won by generals; wars are nearly always won by sergeants and privates. Football is no different, the guys down in the trenches win the games, not the coach.
28-20 PSU. God let me be as wrong as my wife tells me I am!
@Fail... don't agree at all with the DLine being overrated.
1) Injuries... injuries everywhere. Simon, Williams, Bennett, and Hankins have all missed time. The only starter from the originial two deep that hasn't missed any time is Goebel.
2) Teams have played around our line all season. Why do you think teams first started doing the short, quick passes? It was all about getting the ball out ASAP so that the pass rush was taken out of the picture.
3) The running game issues are not on the DLine shoulders. The DTs have done their jobs, it's the back 7 that has failed to hit gaps and have overpursued.
Cause I couldn't go for three
31-17 PSU...
27-21 Buckeyes.
The 2012 National Champions.
24-21 Bucks.
PSU has a really good shot at winning this. I freaking hate PSU
30-24 PSU.
24-17 tOSU stays perfect on the year
An angry fan...rooting for an angry team...led by angry coaches
21-17 Penn State
Those who stay will be CHAMPIONS!

We kick their ass in a close one 24-17 Go Bucks
Wherever you are, there you be!
Matt McGloin is Matt McGloin. Bubble and TE screens are smoke and mirrors, OSU reminds him, and Penn State just who they are.
OSU 34 Penn State 12
4-6 seconds from point A to point B and when you get to point B, be pissed off
35-31 Buckeyes
~Because we couldn't go for three~
27-24 Buckeyes!
I can't believe there's so many doubters on this site. You guys need to go find a team you can cheer for. someone who wins every game by 50 and leads the country in off. and def. You people need to get a life nad leave my struggling Bucks alone. Thank God for heart because they wouldn't be undefeated without it. And by the way, for all you little Hail worshipers who kowtow to this scum fan, s...w u too. Fail, go back to your cheap blog. Bucks 24 lions 10
@Johnnie
There are definitely a lot of people who expect way too much out of this team, but predicting them to lose a close game at night on the road against a solid team does not mean they don't support the team. I have never been on the complaint bandwagon, as I expected 2-3 loses this year and am happy with the progress we have made.
That being said, I would predict PSU 28 - OSU 24, as I'm not sure we can pull out the magic one more time in an extremely hostile environment.
28-23 Buckeyes
Buckeyes 24-14. No, wait, that was the score of the Ohio-PSU game, so I'll go with OSU 31-13, best game of the year for the Buckeyes.
34-30 OSU
Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite
Buckeyes 31-26
Johnnie, you realize I don't really hate on OSU much at all. In fact, I was pretty adamant that OSU would not only win Saturday, but they would cover. Additionally, regarding your comment about the "doubters," see Shaunosu's comment above. The converse of those who predict their team to lose is those who assume they'll win no matter what the situation.
Those who stay will be CHAMPIONS!
~Bo Schembechler
We are playing a team and coach with nothing to lose (see blog post). They do not punt or kick FGs very often. Prepare to play four downs. OSU 35 - 21
34-21, Ohio State.
OSU 27-17
If it's too loud, then you're too old!!
Who knows?? If Braxton plays all 4 qtrs 42-34 osu. If not, 34-28 Penn State
OSU-35
PSU-20 (turnovers will hurt PSU and OSU will actually turn them into points unlike other games this year. For instance like the 2010 game where the defense scored twice).
@Hail and other tTUN fans: Sorry Hail...you know how I feel about you and your buddies presence here...makes little sense to me either. I can't stand even having your teams name in my browser let alone going to a site and actually signing up for it...???(which as I've said and will continue to say that you and all you buddies are closet Buckeye fans who started coming here in 2011 after your one win in ten years). I still say you'll need to stay at Mblog or where ever. I still say you tTUN fans are closet Buckeye fans down deep. Just my opinion...no offense of course;-)
WOOT WOOT!
"There's nothing that cleanses your soul like getting the hell kicked out of you."
"I love football. I think it is most wonderful game in world and I despise to lose."
Woody Hayes 1913 - 1987
No apologies here. I say what I say and mean it. No one goes undefeated all the time so live and die with yoiur team whoever it may be ( as long as its colors don't look like what comes out of the back end of an 8 month old baby.) I appreciate intelligent critique, not this continual whining so if we do drop one, so be it, they're still my bucks. Let Urb coach; he'll replace Fick if he wants, not you guys. I don't opine much, just when I'm riled and I'm plenty so. Probably won't again for months but go Bucks and fail still needs to go home. Don't care how intelligent he may be, thoughtful, persuasive or fair. This is an Ohio State sight and I can't stand anything that reminds me of that nortern trainwreck. By the way, as has been said many times, without Ohio kids they're div. 111 football caliber. They can have that fat Ohio reject of a coach; he's there because he's not good enough to make it here. Only losers turn on their own. Go Bucks.
Ohio State 42 Penn State 14 Really think that a comeback win like that fires up the Defense. Expect huge game from Hyde. Go Bucks
I refuse to believe that a team with no explosive players or even a kicking game hands Meyer his first loss as a buckeye...look at state penn's schedule...38-21 bucks.
37-17 The Ohio State University!
Tough times never last, tough people do
Was it last year or the year before when McGloin came out hot in Columbus and lead them to halftime up 14-3 or something like that. Then proceeded to absolutely crap the bed. McGloin can only sustain success for so long before he shoots himself in the foot with his own arrogance. OSU falls down early but rallies to a win late, aided by several missed FG attempt by Fickens. 27-21.
So Johnie, since we are all here let us blindly follow our team, rain praise down upon their shoulders and accept everything they do as perfection and intention. Fans everywhere are not real fans unless they show their utmost support at all times and worship the ground their team walks on. To be considered a real fan, it is not acceptable to question the play calling or effort of a player on this team as long as they are undefeated. Your blind faith sounds best suited for a man that lived in Germany pre WW2. Our objectiveness makes us more than Ohio State football fans. It makes us reasonable and informed, exactly the thing that our fan base gets so criticized for.
Offense will wake up and Moxie will remeber he is a walk on.. TOSU 38 PSU 17. I like our D in this one to play grown man football/ I still expect some screens (drive me nuts!)..
My final comment. Can't believe someone like usmc would write that tripe. I said I appreciate intelligent critique, not any of the stuff you attribute to my post. Also, your German comment is an insult. It doesn't support what you portend to be your truth and doesn't belong on this sight. Critique all you want; just don't whine. Constructive criticism should always be welcome; criticizing to relieve frustrations is a waste of time and supports no one. Next time usmc try and understand what's written and interpret correctly.
I think whoever wins the turnover ratio will win this game.. And I think roby has a pick 6 in his future..35-24 bucks pull this one out after sluggish first half
Nits 23
Bucks 17
Hope I'm wrong, but I think the road atmosphere will be very tough for a young football team. If we can establish a run game early with Hyde (and Smith - please get this man some carries), I would change my prediction but I think we're going to struggle to run the ball.

Penn State really isn't all that great. Look at who they've beaten to get 5 wins. They do have a decent defense, though. OSU 28, PSU 20
Class of 2010.
29-22 Buckeyes
Have I seen that score recently?
I've already accepted the possibility of downvotes so here goes... BOTH teams are average football teams. OSU has much more talent on the roster than PSU does, but PSU seems to be putting it together right now. I think OSU will step up their play because honestly a lot of people see us as the underdog in this one. OSU will have a chip on their shoulder and will play tough. The main difference in the game is this... WE HAVE URBAN MEYER! He is the master motivator! He will use will and heart to win this game! I believe Braxton will play and they will use him to go off! He will use this game to boost his heisman campaign and possibly seal the deal on Nov. 24 with The Game! URBAN IS THE ULTIMATE FACTOR!
Buckeyes 27 State Penn 17
24-16 tOSU. Here's to praying we pull it off. I loathe McMuffin and Mauti.
24-16 tOSU. Here's to praying we pull it off. I loathe McMuffin (aka McGloin) and Mauti.
27 - 23 PSU <- clearly because I hate the Buckeyes as a previous poster said... I clearly should root for another team because I don't think we will win.
28-27 OSU
tOSU - 37 spu - 10
22-21 Buckeyes score late TD and 2 point conversion for the win.
@BUckeye_in_SEC I agree with everything you say, and you deserve an upvote.
/Duff'd It
23-10 ohio state
28-24 bucks. I think Guiton will be called upon to play either at the beginning or end of the game. Defense shows up.
As long as the LB's can run with the TE's then we will be good but exspect the qiuck passies if the CB are 8 yards of the WR. and here come the Pats. screens and bubble screens. Which part of this Off. that Penn. runs was learned from UFM him self.
close game let your nails grow cause this is going to be a nail bitter.
20-17 Penn State
Buckeyes 28-13. Tight throughout the game until we pull away with late score. I think PSU's is actually an offense, playing well though it may be, that our D matches up with pretty well. With either Brax or Kenny G, I think we mix pass and run and move the ball pretty well and we get a big turnover that leads to a score. Our best beginning-to-end effort since MSU game, where we played pretty well in a hostile environment. We're due for a big game and PSU is probably due for a bit of a letdown after playing very well against Iowa.
I was worried about this game until Hail2Victors picked Penn State to win. And, no, Hail it does not count when you pick Ohio State to beat Indy or Purdue. In the picks that "counted," Hail took both MSU and Nebraska over the Buckeyes.
Similarly, I had Michigan over ILL. This week, though, I'll take Nebraska 31, Michigan 24.
Moxie will morph into the Moxie we know; only this time it will be in the first half. D makes a statement. 31-20 tOSU Buckeyes.
"It's just another case of there you are". ~ Doc (1918-2012)
@Ccolins0325: Thanks for telling me how to do that. That will make future post a lot more neater.
@Fail: I'm not exactly sure why you or others are mad at Hail predicting us to lose and them being on 11w. Him along with Mman are respectful to other users here and the respect should go both ways.
Moreover, I understand why most people would pick us to lose, that shouldn't come has a huge surprise. Just because someone gives a score that doesn't favor OSU doesn't mean they aren't rooting for them to win....
I've posted the predictions to the blogger, throw up more and I'll post them... Hoping for a sample size of at least 125.
Ohio State's band SLAUGHTERED Michigan's band. If this were a football game, it would have been Florida State vs. Savannah State. - SB Nation following OSU vs. UM 2012
@Fido...I picked Nebraska, but I picked OSU over Sparty. At the time, I thought that we would need the help to win the division. Turns out, Nebraska will be more impactful.
Those who stay will be CHAMPIONS!

Here's what I know....NO MATTER what happens Saturday, this will be the only game for the next four years that PSU even has a "chance" to beat us, mark that down!
Jason, I can agree with that :)
