We are wearing "rivalry" jerseys or something this year. I thought they were supposed to be unveiled in September, however.
Slippy: they were supposed to be announced in September, but for some reason Nike is being unusually quiet this year (or something is delaying the unveiling). Maybe the 11W staff can weigh in, but these jerseys look much, much more legit than your average gray knockoff.
I sent a message to the ebay seller asking where and when it was purchased. Be interesting to see if they respond.
I emailed the guy as well. The other things that he's selling look legit. We shall see.
It's too shiny. Although it would have come in handy Saturday night walking home from ETB when some jackhole decided to take his Mustang for a drive in the grass along High St.

The fact that it is too shiny fits in perfectly with Nike's chrome theme this season.
Seems impossible that it could be sold on ebay before its even unveiled. Nike would obliterate the person selling it.
419: I agree, which is why this is odd. The jersey is too good; stitched, tags, everything. Either this guy knows something, or he's one hell of an expert at making knockoffs.

You're probably right, Browny. I'm intersted to hear from him what the hell this is/how he pulled this off.
I'm pretty sure its some kind of chinese knock-off. Most of the jerseys on the knock off sites like borntrade have the authentic Nike tagging. The issue is that if it were legit it would not have a nameplate, especially not that of a current player. If you check the borntrade jerseys, the font on the nameplates are almost identical to the one on this one.
Very Interesting. I wouldn't mind seeing that with maybe a chrome helmet like Oregon's and white buckeyes on it and white pants! We'll see. Just as long as they are not all season outfits.
I am curious, with so many teams breaking out all blacks, why not all blacks with red numbers and those flat black helmets with red buckeyes on them? I believe last month someone posted a pic like this but a little different from what I'm thinking.
You can get stuff like this overseas where they make them. They will make anything for a few bucks for you.

Good point about the nameplates. Any college jersey made in this country would not have that. Sorry for making something out of nothing. I purchased an overseas knockoff before, so I should know better.
Another thing I just noticed, the logo at the neck is crooked.

Browny: word of caution with these sites - a lot of these jerseys end up in US Customs hell.
While this jersey is simply awesome, I actually distinctly remember some stores selling a "Krenzel" jersey with this exact same color scheme back in 2002-2003 time frame. Perhaps my memory is faulty.
Regardless, these things would look great on the field! (against a red helmet with a chrome block O, in my opinion)

Also, AJ Hawk's wife (Brady Quinn's sis) also wore a half and half jersey to the 2006 Fiesta Bowl. The OSU half of the jersey was silver/grey.

The jerseys look great to me and are actually really nice. Plus if you get the older players they will come with the name plates even if your ordering at a place in the states. I would rather have a throwback cris carter than a current player anyways. I find it weird to wear current players jerseys.

@squirrel, yes red with chrome O (kinda like a reverse of the Rutgers design)! I think chrome can be a classy look if it is tamed. For instance, those chrome diamond plated helmet designs that are out there would be great...if they dropped the diamond plating, in my opinion.
I also think a black jersey with scarlet numbers outlined in chrome against said black-striped chrome helmet (without that diamond plating crap) would be an excellent look, especially under the lights of the 'Shoe. I favor a bit of change every so often and I know this is one of my pipe dreams that'll never happen but I think it'd be awesome!

I saw this on weiketrade.hk for $28 plus shipping. It looks nice, and I've heard that for knockoffs, their jerseys are pretty good. This definitely isn't a leak of any pro combat jersey, though. I'm tempted to pick up this and an AJ Green jersey off of there.
