Just announced Ohio State will play TCU during the 2018-2019 season. OSU is 4-1-1 against them all time with all of the meetings being held in Columbus. I don't think this will be the "little sisters of the Poor Team" Gee referred to them as. The've looked much more improved and will only get better during the first several years in the Big 12. What's your thoughts on this opponent?

Good, I was disappointed with both the losses of Georgia, and the PAC-12 agreement. I want to see some good OOC games especially with the selection committee coming into effect in 2014.
Glad to see that we're going to have a solid strength of schedule after next season. Too bad we have to sit through another boring non-conference season next year.
By 2018 TCU should be well established, I'm really excited for this
This is a nice addition to the future schedules. TCU has been consistently good for a while now and should maintain that caliber of play throughout the rest of this decade. Once the playoff format takes place some strong non conference victories may be the difference beween being selected into the 4 team championship playoff and being left out. The Oklahoma series is coming up in a few years and now the addition of TCU to end the decade means tOSU is set up with strong out of conference games besides next year. TCU and Cincinnati in 2018 looks nice!
This will be good. For once, good job OSU athletic dept.

i wish we would have tried to reschedule Tennessee or Georgia
Really like this. Adds an opponent that looks good in the media's eyes that is a stiffer test than some of these other OOC games. Any ideas if this would be played in Cowyboys Stadium or just at TCU?
Greg Jennings "I put my team on my back"
I hope this doesn't turn into another CAL situation where we schedule a series when the team is very successful only to have them drop off the map in the years we play them. It's nice to actually have a few non-conf games to look forward to.
Game is in Forth Worth in 2018 and Columbus 2019 so no Cowboys Stadium
The first game in 2018 will be in Fort Worth, TX and the game in 2019 will be in Columbus, OH.
Ohio State's band SLAUGHTERED Michigan's band. If this were a football game, it would have been Florida State vs. Savannah State. - SB Nation following OSU vs. UM 2012
Awesome, I got wide-eyed when I read this. Also, is the Georgia series kapoot for real? I thought there was still the possibility that it could reignite and actually come to fruition? Or did I miss some info that said it is a done deal that it will not happen?
Cincy I was thinking something along the same lines, but I think with the success they've had and being in Texas in proximity to some great recruiting they'll be ok. Hopefully Patterson is still there by then. I think as long as he's patrolling the sidelines they'll be pretty good.
I like it. Urbz will be rolling then and TCU can say they played the defending national Championsfingers crossed
Which sister is TCU? Are they the blue one or the purple one?
good, now add alabama or lsu or another sec team and that will make for a good schedule.
TCU plays in one of the smallest stadiums of any substantial program, so tickets will be hard to come by. But I'm sure Buckeyes in the general vicinity like myself will be able to step up.
The most "loud mouth, disrespect" poster on 11W.
if TCU grows as a program like they are looking like, no more the sisters of the poor, that first game might be in Jerryworld! or TCU will need to build a bigger stadium. I don't see a bigtime B12 vs B1G matchup being held in a small stadium. Jerry would see too much money in it!

I preferred Georgia & Tenn, personally. This strikes me as one of those can't win series -- if we win, we were supposed to, if we lose...
I could be wrong, but I don't think of TCU as a particularly good program. They were decent when Dalton was QB, but I think the back stretch of their schedule is going to expose them as average this year. I could be wrong...

preparing for the selection comitee already i expect to add quite a few more of these style of games. good match up

Id like to see some more SEC ooc games especially while urbz is in town..best way to shut them up is to beat them..and a few national titles wouldnt hurt either..stoked for the oklahoma and VT series tho
Well i like college and i like football...and im gunna keep doin em both cause they make me feel good!!!
Good matchup, however, I wouldve rather seen Tennessee or Georgia on the OOC schedule! Will TCU be considered a quality win in 6 years? Alot can happen to a program in that amount of time which is why I'd rather see an SEC opponent.
^^ Totally Agree.
This may be a good game this year but in 6 years I'm not sure they look much different than scheduling SMU.
For better or worse I would like to see more name brand schools. Texas, USC, Oklahoma, Alabama, ND, Florida State, Florida, Georgia, etc.
Honestly I feel about the same as if we found out Cincy was on the schedule.
