Before I got flamed for no reason at all, I'm going to preface what I'm going to say by recognizing that we are a better team with Braxton. That goes without question. However, I would also argue that as Kenny G got warmed up and things started to click after his pick, I would argue that we displayed more offensive balance than we have at any point in the season.

I would just say that can't be evaluated after less than a quarter of playing time in one game (plus all the other random snaps/brief fill-ins).
We do have more balance with Kenny because he is a better passer than Braxton right now. However, we lose Braxton's running and big play abili, and this in turn will make it harder for Hyde to find space on his runs. The balance we gain with Kenny still leaves us as not as good an offense.
that said, Kenny is more than good enough to beat Illinois and keep us in the hunt for our others games. I'd obviously feel better with Braxton in there, but I don't feel bad with Kenny.
Agree we are more balanced with Kenny G in, mid range passing game isnt Braxton's speciality yet and more touches for rb's, however like you said, with Braxton's explosive ability and better long ball we are a better team.
Favorite Buckeye: Obviously BJ Mullens
That is tough to say and this is Braxton's team. However, I thought Kenny did a great job and appeared to have better touch on most of his passes. I was impressed by what he did, but not surprised really. I have always liked him. Now let's hope Braxton is alright.
From what (little) I've seen, to me Kenny is a more accurate short to intermediate thrower than Braxton is currently. But conversely, Kenny isn't even in the same area code as Braxton when it comes to running as a QB--so I suppose it's a trade-off. Ultimately though, I agree with you that Braxton is a better all-around QB than Kenny, and that he has much more upside. If Braxton continues to get better at the passing game (throwing catchable, accurate passes) to me he could easily be one of the 3 best QB's in the country (some may argue that he already is). Whereas Kenny doesn't really have a deep-ball (at least as far as we saw today), so he's already hit his ceiling--which is as a slightly above average QB. A capable game manager rather than an explosive player. Both QBs seem clutch to me, though, which is great.
I guess we'll see how Kenny develops over the next few weeks if Braxton's out.
It might be tough sledding against PSU just because our WRs won't scare a solid D, but Kenny G is more than capable of putting together a solid performance against Illinois if Brax is out that long.
