- I want to start off by saying Braxton Miller is the most valuable player in the nation. Stats aside, even though he has great stats, he is a major game changer and you cannot gameplan against him.
- Our offense is starting to become more and more tough to defend as the season progresses. At first Braxton Miller was our offense. Then Carlos Hyde began to help him and after him Devin Smith began to help the offense. Now Rod Smith has provided a third run threat. The reason this is very dangerous is because we have three fantastic rushers, two of which can stick it to the defense and wear them down and the third who can shake and bake around the defense. Devin Smith provides the deep ball threat that keeps safeties deep. It is going to be incredibly hard to defend this for the rest of the season and will only get tougher next season.
- The offensive line is becoming a strength and should be much better next season.
- We will not lose a game this season. Today just further proved to me that this team is PISSED OFF and they will not lose a game. After the blocked punt, the PSU crowd was as loud as ever and the offense marched down the field to score a touchdown. I would not be suprised if we played some more close games, but I would be VERY suprised if we did lose a game.
- Currently, we are the best team in the nation.

Agreed. Rod Smth had a hell of a game. Came in off of two poor games against a team that had played well the last 5 and kicked the hell of of them. Great job by the staff and the players...so proud of this team.
OMG Drewbuckeye is back!
In all seriousness though, I have to agree with you. They look good!
Edit-for all but best team in nation...missed that at first :-)
You can kill a fly with your slipper or a cannon. Either way, the fly dies. -Ramzy
Rod smith has been playing well with returns and rushing, the defense has to account for him when he comes in now. I don't think we are the best team in the nation right now but we are a top 5-7 team next year we are a top 3 team if the defense can Improve.
I dont think we are the best team in the nation in all seriousness Bama would take this team to the woodshed. We will be a better team next year and I think we will go undefeated this year but we are not the best in the nation.
I agree with every point you made, however we are not the best team in the Nation. We are the best team in the BIG.
Yes there are two Buckeyes in Ann arbor on this site!
Agree with you on everything but "Currently, we are the best team in the nation." I'm not ready to say that by any means yet hahah.
I would like to add Bama will take almost every team in the nation to the woodshed they are that physical and fast.
We're not even close to being the best team in the nation right now, but I dig your enthusiasm. GO BUCKS!
are we the winningiest team at least this season? maybe that's what Drewbuckeye meant.
Agree with everything but the last part. Take a step back bud we clearly are not the best team in the nation. If this game told you that then you need some glasses or something. Good win. Team overcame some garbage play by the offense for a little bit there. We find a way to win. Plain and simple. For how this team is this year, it makes me more excited for next year with some maturity on the team. We could be nasty next year.
This team has its flaws but you are right they are pissed off and playing like a team. In some ways they are a reverse 2002 team. That team had bad offense and great defense but always found a way to win. This team has great offense but bad defense and finds a way to win. I would put us up against any team in the nation except Alabama and Oregon I think those two teams are playing on a different level this year but either could be beat on any given day.
First team to 9-0... WIN
"I like to kick Michigan's ass and chew bubble gum, and I'm all out of gum."
Winning
this game supports my theory that this team plays to the competition. This is a talented team, a gritty team. Not the best team in the nation but they are laying a solid foundation for next year when that statement could be warranted.
I don't know about being the best team in the nation, but the improvement over the course of the season has been incredible. We started this year as a one dimensional offense with a terrible defense thats was giving up 400 yards + to conference USA bottom feeders. What we have now is an increasingly varried offensive attack and a defense that is really stout. I think we have only given up four touchdowns on defense in the last two weeks, which is really good.
It has taken ALOT of luck and grit to go 9-0 this season, but the most important thing is that we're growing as a team and getting ready to make a hell of a run next year.
Our honor Defend!
I agree with your first 4 points. Given what Alabama is doing tonight and has been doing all year, best in the nation we are not. I love this team though. Survived the slugfest and the initial surge by State Penn in the first half and kicked their asses in the second. Nothing pleased me more than crowd shots of dejected State Penn fans.
Class of 2010.
I think they play with grit and find a way. Hopefully they can get a big lead and heal up the next two weeks.
Btw, MSU beats Wiscy in OT making us clear leaders in the leaders division where leaders lead.
Bama is unbeatable like a Miami team was 10 yrs ago.
So. This team was 6-7 last year and now moving along at 9-0.
Is this all Urban and the new system? It's amazing to think how much better this team than last year.
Can't wait to see what this team does with a full UFM recruiting class.
I think it's all Urban in that the whole culture and attitude of this team has changed. Overall, I don't think this team is much different than last year's. Last year, they lost all those close calls, and this year they bounce back and keep fighting. You can't keep this team down, they are going to keep fighting and scratching and clawing. Last year, they didn't have that trait.
