Maybe this will satisfy some of the people who tend to think the media has some sort of obsession with only negative OSU stories.
Probably not.
For the TL:DR crowd, here is the crowing jewel of the piece, and the only item you need to read to get the thrust of the article.
They smiled those same smiles Saturday in East Lansing. As I watched Meyer and strength coach Mickey Marotti celebrate, I realized it might be time to warn the other programs in the Big Ten about what will happen in the next few years. So here it goes:You are completely screwed.

just posted this lol..but yes. good read
"Winter is coming" - Urban Meyer
HAHA my bad dude.
4-6 seconds from point A to point B and when you get to point B, be pissed off
lol it's all good
"Winter is coming" - Urban Meyer
Thank YOU Chuck Norris.
I know there's a game saturday, and my ass will be there.
That quote provoked a smile nearly as big as when I realized that Denard was most likely going to spend the rest of his life in a Milli Vanilli cover band.
The media likes Meyer, still doesn't mean they liked Tressel or the program from 2000-2011
Brewster - ESPN/SI/CBS/ABC/FOX could all publish 100 articles painting OSU in a positive light, yet the MINUTE one of the them posts something even remotely negative, the conspiracy theorists will throw those 100 articles out the window and fixate on that one article for weeks. It's just what we do for some reason.
maybe SI is trying to compensate/overcompensate for the HACKERY of one George Dohrmann. Nothing will ever make up for that recycled garbage they put out last year about OSU/Tressel.
"You win with people." - Woody Hayes
Agree with Cincy. If you're looking for anti-OSU bias, you can imagine it anywhere. I'm surprised no one has commented on the suggetions that Meyer may have crossed the line on recruiting or on the issues he had at FLA being at OSU as well. Even in what is a very favorable piece about the Buckeyes' resurgence.
I see some ppl are not adhering to the voting policy...further proves my point.
Edit: Thanks again!
And how did Earle get downvoted?? Grow up ppl.
LOLz @ that last sentence
"You win with people." - Woody Hayes
awesome article thanks for sharing
I really like that new Buckeye Swag song. Here is a link for those who haven't heard it -- Right after the MSU game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HAOT9-hZNdk&feature=relmfu
Kudos to the band for coming up with it. Awesome.
The media is not biased against OSU. They are more likely to report and discuss negative stories about OSU because OSU has the biggest fanbase and is one of the most hated programs in the nation, so negative stories = hits, ratings, however you can measure people reading the stories. That comes with being Ohio State.
Class of 2010.
That's got me so pumped. This is only year 1...
Winter is coming.
Great points Cincy. I don't see eye to eye with you a ton, but I am with you on this one. The thing that gets me-OSU fans who claim bias see the following...
1) Articles that paint OSU in a negative light are biased and in no way true and totally exaggerated to make OSU look bad.
2) When OSU isn't covered, the media bias is such that OSU isn't news worthy if it isn't bad therefore if the media doesn't cover OSU, they are biased.
3) Whenever anything that paints OSU in a positive light is published-its pandering or ass kissing to make up from all of the mean things people say about OSU.
It is a totally illogical approach to media coverage. I get that people don't like when the big bad media is mean to their beloved Buckeyes but I've said it a million times-This is what comes with being on the of true bullies of the college football world. Ohio State, by all accounts and all metrics is one of the truly big time, elite programs in the nation and fans should love that-with all of that attention and size comes media scrutiny...because (I hope you are sitting down guys) ITS THE MEDIA'S JOB TO SCRUTINIZE! I know, hard to swallow.
There is no bias-there is simply coverage of big stories and because OSU is SO massive, everything surrounding them is a big story.
4-6 seconds from point A to point B and when you get to point B, be pissed off
Well said Brewster.
