I watched the video of the halftime show this morning! Unbelievable! I think ABC failed huge for not showing that on TV. I know they have their halftime report show with the articulate Jess Palmer but I wouldn't mind seeing some more bands during the halftime show! I bet my wife would even be willing to watch that. It was a work of art.
Can anyone list the games they displayed in the show? I believe I caught: Super mario, pokemon, legend of zelda, Halo, tetris, space invaders...
advertiser $$$$$$$$$$$$$ is why they dont show half time shows. simple as that. I work in TV, I know how much money they make when they sell air time, especially for a primetime game.

You can still show advertisments. Do they really need to promote Jesse Palmer to make money? I know what you are saying but it still would be much nicer to see the bands than listen to 15 minutes of dribble!

A lot of people would disagree though and prefer seeing highlights of other games and "analysis" during the halftime show rather than a marching band.
I was wondering if the guys in the booth watch the show since they didn't comment on the show or the little controversy during Script Ohio.
i think BTN should show halftime shows since the point of the network is to promote the Big Ten and all it does, but when its ABC and they are appealing to an entire nation who want to see high lights and know whats happening around the country, its hard to ask them to show the band. You may be getting into youtube type of advertising to accomplish showing the band and also making money..have banners at the bottom of the screen come on and off..who knows what the future of TV is.
entire nation? Its a football game. Most likely the people tuning in to watch are fans of the home team and most of what they do. I'm not saying they need to show the whole halftime show but at least make an effort to show some of it. Said somewhere else, the in game announcers didn't even make mention of it AT ALL!

Not sure if this is still the case, but WOSU used to show the halftime show on sunday mornings after the games when I was a kid.
