Here's an article on Land-Grant Holy Land that suggests we repay the kindnesses shown to Buckeye fans last year in Lincoln. I think it's a great idea!

nice. I second this. I am always one for friendly banter, but in the end, you gotta love the competitive spirit between the teams and gotta love enjoying the atmosphere with some of your own and some from other teams.
That is a great article. Don't tell my wife, but I am now totally planning on going to Lincoln in the future with all of my college buddies looking for a good party.
and with one simple line, i will be finding a way to attend the next osu game at nebraska.
"we were approached by two beautiful college girls"
Nebraska visited the Big House last year, and the solid defeat that we handed them surprised a lot of us. The Nebraska fans whom I enocuntered were as classy and as gracious as any I've ever run into in Ann Arbor. I can't imagine a better way to start a divisional rivalry. Nice article, and great advice.
I wouldn't even know how to be mean to Husker fans at this point. They're so new and have such a rich history. The B1G is lucky to have them.
And after a weekend like that guy had, who wouldn't love Nebraska?! Hell, I was at Ohio State for 4 years and never got that kind of treatment.
Unfortunately we don't play in Lincoln for at least another 5 years..
Didn't read the article, but can definitely echo Mman's sentiments regarding them coming to the Big House. I haven't heard a single bad account from the Michigan game involving Nebraska fans.
Those who stay will be CHAMPIONS!

How could anyone be mean to Larry the Cable guy? He is coming to the game isn't he? Sould invite him to Eat Too! The dude may have some fart issues, but he's a nice guy(and a big NU fan).
"Here officer, hold my beer while I find my license."
The nicest fans on Earth. I'm actually nervous about them coming to the shoe because of the percentage of d-bags in our fan base that give us a bad name. I hope 11W's that are there will be as nice as possible to make up for that group.
Has there been an eye gouge or that spoon to mouth crap like the QB up north offered up after scoring from anyone on the Nebraska team? Then we have no reason, if that is what it takes to incite one, to be anything other than gracious hosts. Not that it should ever be any different but the Huskers seem like a respectful bunch. Show 'em some love. Well maybe not love, but you know what we're talking about.
I have a friend who lives in Omaha and after reading this article there is no way I will not be traveling to Nebraska for the game next year.
retract above statement because I just looked up next year's schedule and Nebraska is not on it.
Nebraska is certainly an anomaly. For a fanbase who has seen just as much, if not more, success than most every other program in the nation, their sense of entitlement is way down on their list.
4-6 seconds from point A to point B and when you get to point B, be pissed off
My wife, a Texas grad, says Nebraska fans always were by far the nicest and classiest they played.
I would second everything in that article after going out there last year (except the hot girl party, we were a mixed group). Before the game everyone was saying good luck and post-loss Huskers bought us beers. Two random Huskers (guys) gave my friend (a guy) a ride back to our hotel at 2am.
Going out there and seeing how awesome they were to us made me a better OSU fan. I always make a point to welcome visitors to Columbus now.
We should strive to keep thy name, of fair repute and spotless fame...
(Also, I'm not a dude)
I usually go out of the way to greet/welcome opposing team's fans. I also remember walking out of the 'Shoe last year with my girlfriend and telling an older PSU fan and his wife "Good game." That was met with a "F*ck off pussy." Made my blood boil. I have had no respect for Penn State or anyone that attends that institution since. I just don't get why one would be an asshole to opposing fans. Treat them well folks, there's no reason to be a dick.
I think this is a great idea. I have always tried to be nice to visiting fans, I ignore the fans from AACC, but everyone else gets a warm response. I try to let them know about our traditions not to miss, like Skull Session and the Ramp Entrance. Make them feel welcome.
The pure hate in our hearts for UM is based on respect for your enemies. I personally have little respect for PSU and Wisky fans as I am sure most of you do to. So I don't hate their fans, I just think they are idiotic just like the great example william posted above.
Here is to hating Nebraska like we hate UM, with respect!
To beat a dead horse, Nebraska fans really are as a group the nicest, funnest group of fans I have ever met. Not many places you can walk into a college party wearing the opponents jersey and not get any mean spirited flak.
Also to echo the above, Penn State fans are far and away the worst I have ever dealt with. Rude, drunk, embarassing to themselves.
The most underrated program in college football is Nebraska
It's a complete embarrassment that Ohio State/Nebraska isn't an annual game, I wish we could switch Nebraska and Penn State so I wouldn't have to hear their fans as often (not to mention it would make our schedule stronger)
Unfortunately, Penn State is in the 'Leaders' division with us and Nebraska is not. I agree, I wouldn't mind swapping those 2 teams and playing Nebby every year instead of PSU.
I'm hoping for an extra classy showing from our fans. I've got a cousin who used to live in Omaha that is a Husker fan that's coming to the game with us, along with his wife. His brother does live out there but can't come. We almost went out there last year but I don't remember why it didn't work out.
It's stupid that fans would be dicks to other fans because they chose to support another team. I'm always nice to opposing fans, including a USC fan who asked me where to find something when they came to the 'Shoe a few years ago. I ran into a decent PSU fan last year in the 'Shoe, too, but I know how dickish their fans can be. The biggest OSU hater I know is a PSU fan, and I know some TSUN fans.
Class of 2010.
We should invite a few of them to join us at ETB3
-The Aristocrats!
I really hope that the tiny percentage of douchebag OSU fans don't spoil it for the Nebraska fans, but I have a have a bad feeling
I hate when small fraction of people make everyone else look like morons
