Wiksy could feasibly finish 4-4 in the B1G and 7-5 overall and make it to the B1G Championship game. Probably to play an 8-4 Michigan team or 9-3 Nebraska team (if everything plays out like it should on paper).
How is a B1G championship game with a 7-5 team vs. an 8-4 or 9-3 team going to look? How will it look when one of those teams qualifies for a BCS bowl game? The B1G will be criticized even more, I guess.
Geez, it just makes it all the more painful that we are ineligible for the postseason this year.

It's simply going to be fitting for how lousy the B1G is this year. Yeah it sucks majorly that Ohio State can't play in it. But, who gives a crap if they don't have to go to Indy to beat a team they already beat earlier in the year? Who cares if they're not eligible for the national title? Because with how crappy the B1G is this year, all that would happen by going 13-0 is that it would cause BCS controversy with us not finishing in the top-2. There's no way we'd be able to boost our BCS ranking beating the teams we have remaining.
But to answer your question, I don't think it makes the B1G look any worse than it already does. No one believes we're legit because of how the defense played for the first half of the year, and we're the best team out there.
It would have been awesome to go to Pasadena, though. The Rose Bowl is f'ing awesome.
This is what happens when you have automatic qualifiers from conferences for the BCS. If the conference is bad, your representation will be lousy in the BCS. I have always thought that restrictions and conditions should have been set up for the auto-qualifiers. They should have originally done was to require the conference champion to be ranked in the top 10 in the poll, otherwise they would not qualify for a BCS bowl. Think about in years past when the Big East would send a team to represent them in the BCS that would have mutliple losses and then get crushed by whoever they played.

Wisconsin could finish (4-4) 7-5 but then that means Indiana goes to Indy via the tie breaker. Now how weird is that? It won't happen but I'll be rooting for IU to beat Wisconsin since they hung 81 on them.
It will more likely be Nebraska vs. Wisconsin with Neb winning. Not sure how bad/good that could for the conference. USC isn't going so it will probably be Nebraska vs. OSU... Now the B1G has a chance to win a BCS bowl game since OSU can't save the conference again.

Ohio State's band SLAUGHTERED Michigan's band. If this were a football game, it would have been Florida State vs. Savannah State. - SB Nation following OSU vs. UM 2012
BME, I was assuming Wisky would beat IU and lose to tOSU and Penn State to finish 4-4 in the division. Wisky would then have the tie-breaker over IU (but IU would need to beat Iowa, PSU, and Purdue even to get to 4-4 in the division). It realy looks like Wisky will go. No other (eligible) team is even competitive.
But, yeah, it would be sweet if IU upset the fightin' fat Bielema tards!
Allow me to state the obvious:
Wisky getting in the Championship game by default is a frickin' joke.
I don't really worry about what others think.
Now on to what I think. The B1G is going to really do well in all the bowl games most likely only losing 1 bowl game.
As far as being criticized you have to realize even if all of the B1G was undefeated (yes, I know that's impossible) we would still be critisized because the SEC is an ESPN/CBS product now. No one selling a product is going to talk good about someone else's product or talk bad about their own product. The sooner we realize ESPN/CBS is selling a product the sooner we realize we won't get a fair shake.
