Keeping Miller in the game

What was the deal with keeping Miller in the game?

I might be able to understand it if Guiton was God-awful, but the truth is that Kenny is actually a really good understudy. Then to call QB keepers with Miller is doubly insane. Why risk it?

Agreed, made a post about that in another thread. They even ran him again, up the middle, with the game in hand. Glad we won but that was questionable, a bigger risk than a fake punt on our 35 yardline.

Not Tresselball, but still you don't ned to run an already banged-up Miller up the middle when the game isn't close. That's not just pedal to the metal, it's reckless driving and endangerment.

Urban John Simon - I didn't know that 1st Cav did janitorial work in Fallujah? Those MRE's have nasty side effects. I am glad you guys were there to take care of us. To busy killing to worry about the housework.

Scotty- Relax. Focus real hard and try to figure out the difference between critiquing and bitching. I am happy for the win and in a much better mood now than I was at the start of the second quarter.

Yeah - He goes with his guys and you live with it. Tebow wasn't sitting out often from what I remember. He's going to stay with his guys, go for it on 4th down, fake punt, go for the punt blocks and not take many knees. He's also going to call it as he sees it and to hell with others and their feelings. You either accept it or you don't. Not saying there's not logic in putting some other guys in, but I agree with Bill - it's Urban's MO. It is quite an abrupt change from what many of us were used too!

Braxton is still not perfect and game reps are the best way for him to improve so I have no problem with him staying in the game

wside buck- Miller has two options in the game at that point, running the ball and handing it off. I am not sure read option was absolutely necessary at that point because i wouldn't risk Millers health. Either way, of those two options, Miller doesn't need work on those specific fundamentals.
