Carlos Hyde is definitely the number 1 running back but I have to say that I would rather see Rod Smith get the left over carries even when Jordan Hall returns.

I completely agree. It pained me to see Rod fumble today, because we can't afford to have him in the doghouse
People also dont realize that Rod is only a RSo. So he still has 2 more years after this year. I think he has been playing pretty well this year. Better than I expected. Fumbling one time, that was lost, should not be such a big deal. Hope Urban dont jump on him for it. Rod could be a key part to the offense next year & his senior year.

I agree with this. When you sneeze on Hall he goes down.
What happens next year? Gotta think Dunn will be better. Rod Smith is out of Urban's doghouse (or was, that fumble might have changed that), Zeke will be in, Ball's redshirt will be up, and Hyde will be back as well. That's five running backs. Hyde HAS to remain as THE guy, and Zeke might be the change of pace/flex back. Dunn's role is getting pretty clouded.
I wouldn't cheer for Michigan if they were playing the Taliban.
Wouldn't be upset if Dunn took a redshirt as a sophomore. He probably won't see much PT next year unless he drastically improves.
