Ugh, this is awful. I keep trying to explain to people that having Hall's versatility to account for makes Hyde's inside runs more effective but people are too caught up in the "who's better" argument.
That said, Nebraska's defense is awful. If we want to run Hyde up the gut all day on the blackshirts, we can. He can have a big day if that's the way Urban chooses to go.
I hope Hyde and Smith bring it this week. I thought Hyde played pretty well against MSU. I'd like to see him run well between the tackles to take the pressure off of Miller.
Sucks. I hope this means a few more carries for Philly. I think he is a dynamic runner and should see some more runs now. Who else can replace Hall? No one IMO.
Man at this point he might as well Redshirt and win a Nat'l Title next fall. He is eliglble to redshirt if he's played less than 30 percent of the seasons snaps. Medical Redshirt might be the right option for his career.
Agree that this hurts our offensive game plan a lot (no pun intended). We need some dash to go with Hyde's smash, hopefully Brax and Philly can provide it.
when he tried to run on it and started limping again during the game, I got a bad feeling in my stomach... It was reminiscent of Ballard last year when he was running, cut, and then collapsed. I thought to myself, "Sh*t, something is torn"..... even just partial, Terrible news.
He'll be out at least a few weeks not worth risking a more severe knee injury. I'm all for giving Hyde the ball. He's looked great the majority of the time he got the ball including getting that first down at the end of the game.
I really do notice a big difference between Hall and everyone else. Hall is an aggressive runner, he knows where he's going before he gets the ball and everytime he has the ball I feel like he can go the distance. The other guys don't seem to run with that conviction with consistency. This is a big blow for us in my opinion. Hall was a difference maker on offense.
I hope Hyde can run over Nebraska like he did last year. Nebraska is pretty average versus the run this year. Hyde was our best player in that game last year & they didn't give him enough carries.
I'd like to see a nice 1-2 power punch of Hyde & Hot Rod, wearing down that "Blackshirt" Defense come the 4th quarter.
The past two years have really made me appreciate the difference between a grown senior back and what may be a more talented younger back. Last year Boom was by far the best back even though he was not extremely talented and this year when Jordan Hall plays he seems much better than anyone even though hes not the most talented either. It's hard to put numbers on the little things that make a 21-22 year old better than a highly recruited freshman/sophomore.l
Urban said he would have ran Hyde up the middle more earlier if he knew they could do that (must not do it in practice, no surprise there). I think Hyde will be fine with Smith especially if Miller is in the game as well. Although I am confident with Guiton as well.
@NICK I think he said he didn't know if they could because they have tried it in games and it hasn't worked. Remember at least 2 4th and 1 plays and they didn't get it?
Posted this in a few places, but I have always been under the impression that a medical redshirt required the player to be medically unable to play for the entire season. Hall is listed as week to week so I don't believe he can recieve a medical red shirt. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

this sucks. damn it.
I know there's a game saturday, and my ass will be there.
It's only a partial tear though, he should be able to play Saturday night...
I'm kidding, this sucks.

Yeah bad luck for the kid and his senior season. Feel bad for the guy.
I reluctantly agree with NYBUCKEYE at this point.

I wonder if he will redshirt? He sure would be nice to have fully healthy next season.
A tough couple of months for him.
That being said, with a knee brace he could probably play as long as the pain isn't too significant.
vacuuming sucks
Is it too early to think about a medical red shirt?

i'm not against hall redshirting. I just don't know the full effect it would have on next year so i'm not 100% about either.

That sucks. I hoping that the other running backs finally take the queue to step up their game and fulfill their potential.

My lord this kid just cant get a break. Medical redshirt would be the prudent thing to do but I dont know if UFM thinks thats the best idea.

I want to see a big dose of Hyde and Rod this game. Just wear these guys out. Sucks for Hall good kid just unfotunate luck.
Are we even sure Jordan can medical redshirt? I wouldn't be surprised if he CAN'T.
