Awesome to see such a hard worker to have such a great game. All over the place being...er... John Simon.(ish) He hasnt had a monster year in the stat books but he just had a helluva game!
I truly think he will get a borderline first round draft pick look. I think he will end up in the second round but I wouldn't be surprised at all if a team takes him late in the first round. Coaches like Belichick and McCarthy like players like him too much for them to pass.
Reports had that he is finally somewhat healthy-Urban said Simon has been battling a bad shoulder, sprained ankle, groin issue and dislocated rib all at the same time- no wonder he was pressuring but not terrorizing/sacking opposing QBs until tonight!
I have been railing on Simon all season because I've been begging for a game he took over. This was easily his best, most consistent game of the year and he foundhimself getting up off of the ball carrier behind the line of scrimmage more than a few times.
Maybe it was health-if he had a shoulder problem I can certainly understand his 5 game abscence. I won't get into the not a first, second, third rounder talk because this game was something really special and Simon played a big part in it. I thought he got sucked in a few times on zone reads and missed a tackle to to, but as is the case all year, a lot of people did.
John Simon kicked ass last night-no doubt about it
4-6 seconds from point A to point B and when you get to point B, be pissed off
Indeed.
