Hyde was originally in the Class of 2009, then went to Fork Union Military Academy for a year and became a part of OSU's Class of 2010.'
So is Hyde technically 3 years removed from high school and eligible to enter the NFL draft after this season?

He's been at OSU for three years now. He could enter the draft if he chooses. I doubt he will leave early.
He will need one more year to get his stock up. I dont think he is gonna leave
even though the standard of juniors who leave early has decreased i think hyde still has time to serve in c-bus,
I doubt he would project better than a late round pick at this point. Boom Herron was probably better than Hyde is now and he's struggling to stay on a practice squad. Hyde could get there but at this point I don't think he regarded as more than a possible late round pick.

I disagree about the Boom comparison...I was never all that impressed with him. Hyde is just as fast and a lot more powerful. I could see Hyde filling a role like Blount, the guy from Oregon, does at Tampa. And Hyde didn't punch anyone on national tv to hurt his draft stock either. I think he stays though.
Boom was much better then Hyde, if he wasn't then after his 5 game suspension he wouldn't have immediately been inserted back in the starting lineup. Put Boom in this offense, and he gets 1,000 yards easy w/a full season of play.
Hyde doesn't have any real draft stock at this point. He'd be a mid to late round draft choice depending on how he finishes the season. If he comes back and has a solid to great year he could move up to 2nd at the highest but probably 3rd round. He'd be a bit better off to stick it out than be a late 5th round pick or something with a solid finish this year. He's really only had a small handful of good college football games to this point in the grand scheme of things. But yes, he's eligible.
