See notes below
- Buckeyes escape Penn State with an amazing win in dominate fashion. A much improved defensive effort was displayed as the Buckeyes thwart Penn State at home. For those who said Penn State was the 2nd teams they rivaled, I'm sure this win is special for you.
- The results of the blogger, are posted. The person that came the closest this week was WezBuck1 congrads.
- Penn State: What was suppose to be biggest game for Penn State in the next 4 years ended up in a losing effort for the Nittany Lions (can't find the link any more). While the win is great for us, I can't help but feel sorry for what may be soon to come. Given what Bill O'Brien has been through with the sanctions, recruitment, media he's done an excellent job with the team even in defeat. One think that was good to see was that after the game a majority of Penn State fans stuck around to show support for their team and play their fight songs. That gives true meaning to the signs they held up, "You didn't leave us, We won't leave you". Hopefully Penn State finishes out strong and BOB gets the Coach of the Year award since he deserves it.
- Quarterback injuries: For the second week, QB woes plague schools (Wisconsin & Michigan) and may spoil some teams seasons. Stave is done for the year with a fractured collar bone and no info on D.Rob injury. Best of luck in recovery.
- A look back on OSU and NCAA history: Now that Ohio state is 9-0, the remaining teams have a very unique trait that they all share in common. All have been road bumps in the Buckeyes quest for perfection over the years. In 2007, an Illinois team coached by Ron Zook and lead by Juice Williams came into the Shoe and shocked the Buckeyes 21-28 ending their streak of consecutive home wins over B1G opponents. In 2010, a game I just so happen to be at, Wisconsin runs past the Buckeyes in Madison 18-31 and chaos in Madtown begins. In 1993 Michigan spoils another perfect season for OSU in Ann Arbor 0-28 and three years later in Columbus 9-14. Its interesting that the occurrences of these upsets are in the same locations where the games will be played in 2012. At 9-0, OSU has a chance stomp the upset bug and prevent a repeat of history along its quest to be 12-0. Should Ohio State actually reach the 12-0 mark, they will become only the second team to go undefeated following sanctions levied against them with the other team being the 1993 Auburn Tigers. I'm sure ESPN will flash these statements around when announcing, just thought I beat them to the punch.
- Clinch it: Don't look now but the Buckeyes can clinch the division with wins in 2 of the next 3 games.
- Indiana in Indy say what?!?!: With woes in the B1G this season why not add some parody to it as well. A win over the Spartans last saturday would seal up a trip to Indy for the Badgers. After Saturday lost to MSU and Indiana win, should those trends continue til the end of the season, Indiana could have a home game in its backyard with Rose Bowl hopes on the line. While its likely to not happen, the thought of a 7-6 team headed to the Rose Bowl has me scratching my head.
- Browns win over a team not in the state behind Trent Richardson 122 yards and 1TD to move to 2-6. BEAST MODE!
- Michigan: And just when you think things couldn't get any worse behind Michigan losing at Nebraska, the Tigers get swept in the World Series.
- All eyes are focused on a rivalry game for the Buckeyes to maintain possession of the IlliBuck. Throw up your predictions for this game and I'll post them on the blogger.

45-10, OSU.Braxton gets off again!!
SCOTTC.
Buckeyes 49-21
Yeah, I gotta think our Offense wakes up a bit and Braxton hits some necessary throws. Plus, the Illinois Offense isn't so good, but they seem to have more success running the ball, and that seems to work to our D's strengths.
I'll go with 56-17.
OSU 49-17
