I knew we would either almost lose or lose. I think pretty much everyone else was convinced with out team after the Nebraska game, but I wasn't. I still remembered UAB, California, UCF, and now I'll remember Indiana. Unless something goes terribly right, I am very concerned for our team when we go into Madison, into State Penn, and when we play Michigan. This is a beyond pathetic performance. Blame it on the refs all you want, this was miserable. I hope Urban looks into all the defensive players' eyes after this game, and tell them all that they SUCKED today. Tell them like it is. Try to get them motivated so that maybe they will actually perform. At this point, I do not even believe that they understand that you can rush the passer in football.

Take the gun out of your mouth...7-0.
I suppose it's possible to post a forum thread titled "I Called It" without coming across as a phenomenal douchebag, but not this time.
The most "loud mouth, disrespect" poster on 11W.
Your a hall of famer son! ^^^ LMAO!!!
Horrible finish. Totally disgusting, but we didn't almost lose. We had that game WELL under control and if it weren't for some foolish mistakes it would have been a complete blowout. In fact it really was despite the score. Now the fact that the defense quit with that big lead is another thing altogether and I'm sure it was already mentioned in the locker room. With that said we are still undefeated and I'm still loving this season. I was never convinced we'd go undefeated though so a loss or two is not going to worry me. We have a lot going on in this program and it is only going to get better in the years ahead. I do agree though that the ending was crap.
Garbage officiating and garbage time points made it close. Really was not as close as the score indicates.
Class of 2010.
I didn't call it but I agree that I hope Meyer lets his defense know exactly what he thinks of their performance. How could he not. He demands perfection and he is responsible for brining this team a National Championship. I too am disgusted with their effort. Coaching or youth? Which is to blame?
If you watched the game you would know we really were never in danger of losing. Had they recovered that last onside kick I would have said "we almost lost" but pretty much after halftime there was never a doubt in my mind that we would win that game. It looks way closer than it was because of the garbage time points. Granted we do need to improve, but please step away from the ledge
Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite
Triv wins.
I think you were over confident due to our success against Indiana in the past Triv. I am never confident in a victory unless we are up by four scores in the fourth. How many times did Indiana bring it back within two touchdowns or even one? I know that we were almost scoring at will out there but Indiana was almost as consistent. I never step away from the ledge. I am always climbing to the top my friend.
Highwire-Step out from behind Triv's backside and make your own points.
fickell's gone after this season
We won and somehow we'll probably still manage to drop in the polls..
I was confident because of our success aginst Indiana TONIGHT and the offense in general this year. I'm not saying I'm happy that we gave up 49 points, all I'm saying is the OP's point saying he called an "almost loss" is way off base. We were up by 18 points in the fourth quarter. Late in the fourth quarter. That's not almost losing. They scored a few times late and made it appear close. Maybe my definition of almost is different, but I was never sweating that we would lose when they never had the ball with a chance to take the lead for the entire duration of the second half

Step away from the ledge, guys. This season means nothing. Hate to say it, but it's true. Honestly, I'm more mad at Devin Smith dropping two touchdowns than I am at the defense for getting screwed by the refs and giving up some garbage points. IU is a good offensive team. We just couldn't tackle, and we dropped a ton of picks. Stupid mistakes, but Devin Smith almost cost us the game. It's hard to blame the players for problems that are largely schematic.
I wouldn't cheer for Michigan if they were playing the Taliban.
Also, just to point this out, Philly Brown literally tripped and fell onto that last onside kick. That was SO lucky. If he misses that, IU has the ball in field goal range already. And Roby is the reason why the refs even had the chance to blow the call on the first onside kick.

USMC- you are free to call me out on anything that I have posted.
