I thought this was interesting. This gives us Oregon and Boston College home and away series in 2020. I am impressed with the scheduling so far since the announcement of the new playoff system coming in 2014. It looks like we are going to have fewer cupcake games and more interesting quality opponents.

Yes there are two Buckeyes in Ann arbor on this site!
Jim Bollman, we meet again...
Nah, Golden, he'll be long gone by then. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if he's fired within the next 1-2 years as that team has been struggling for a while.
This also is nice because it makes visibility with Massachusetts and Maryland recruits.
Example of the NEW Ohio State non-conference schedule type:
2018 Non-Conference Opponents - Cincinnati, @ TCU, North Carolina
Three mid-level to good BCS conference opponents. This is a perfect scheduling scenario, in my opinion, because there is a good chance at least one of the three will have a very productive season, and more than likely all three would be bowl-eligible teams from power conferences.
This gives OSU a huge advantage in strength of schedule when compared to the normal ACC/SEC/Big 12 non conference schedules.

Hopefully BC will have time to become a respectable program again by 2020. They are a J-O-K-E right now! This is a great smoke and mirrors act, because honestly there are probably a good 3-4 MAC teams that could take down BC. But a BCS-conference team still looks better on the schedule to the computers. It's still a cupcake, but a cupcake with whole wheat and flax seed oil filled with Omega-3s!!
BC is a good opponent because their national perception is clearly superior to that of any team from the MAC (and we are obvioulsy trying to win pollsters over) and the likelihood that they will be have a decent squad put together is much higher than the off chance that OU has a team that is going to give our team a real contest. Not to denigrate OU or teams like them (the MAC is clearly having a pretty stellar year), but teams in BCS conferences seem to enjoy more feast than famine, so the chances the cupboards will be bare are less likely than with smaller programs. BC has a decent football program and is probably suffering from a recent coaching carousel. As Bollman is currently a part of that, it would probably behoove them to stay in the carousel cycle for a while longer.
BC = cupcake with iceing
O H I O is the Buckeye State
Some of the time (and this year), yes. But weren't they in the national picture just a couple years ago? They are from a "big boy" conference and I think that alone will make them look better on the schedule than a Sun Belt team.

Hopefully Matt Ryan has a son that will be old enough to play at BC and make them relevant again
Once they fire Spaziani, Boston College should be able to get a decent name in at coach there. No one too extravagant, but BC does have history/legacy as a legitimate program. They draw in the Catholic recruits, as well.

@Alhan thats why I said "with iceing" not one of the elite teams out there but better than a team from a weaker conf.

I just wanna be able to see the bucks on the east coast! And if bc is revelant again, it only makes it sweeter! 2hour drive to see the scarlet and grey in person? Yes please!!!
@Xtremebuckeye
We agree then! My misunderstanding, carry on. :)

perhaps for the BC game we could talk Sea World..er Six Flags into hosting a game at the park, so Bollman feels more at home. that way BC fans get to at least see the Walrus doing something productive....like doing tricks for dead fish to be tossed at him to amuse small children.
All the games of the season are just practices for that glorious saturday in November when we get to jack Shoelace's invisible cereal bowl and drink our fill of delicious skunkweasel tears ...Michigan Still Sucks!!
