I would probably give Harbaugh more credit than Meyer. Smith sucked before Harbaugh. I am glad Harbaugh didn't coach michigan.
Smith was only bad because he had like 7 different coordinators in 7 years before Harbaugh. Not to mention that he never had any good weapons around him, either.
I wouldn't cheer for Michigan if they were playing the Taliban.
@Ausmos...Smith "sucked"? Not in college! He was the 1st overall pick for a reason. Yes he struggled under bad offensive schemes and the style of play Mike Singletary especially preferred but Smith always had the talent and skills coming out of college. Urbz is do some credit too.

You can't really look at one game and annoint him a great QB. Sure, he has improved some over the last year and a half, but he has struggled more than he has had success. In any case, I really don't care what Meyer's QB's do in the NFL as long as they are great while at OSU.
Very very happy Harbaugh didn't end up at tsun.
Can I just say that although I will begrudgingly admit that Harbaugh is a very good coach, I still can't stand him.
Any QB can look bad if they have to learn a whole new offensive system every 10-11 months.

Howbout holy monday night football larry fitzgerald extravaganza. That seemed more like a LF propaganda telecast than a MNF game. I know the Cards suck and there is little to talk about but GD every word outta their mouths and every other camera shot was of fitzgerald!
I know there's a game saturday, and my ass will be there.
I think Alex Smith would be much more appreciated as a QB had the 49ers not been such a mess his first several years in the league. They had a ton of talent on offense and just stunk all the time. Now they have some stability in their coaching staff and a decent line so he can shine a little bit.
