so I was looking at the roster, specifically at the D-Line, and had some questions and wondered what you guys thought.....
Defensive end- Next year we will have Michael Bennett & Noah Spence as the starters. Steve Miller, Se'von Pittman & JT Moore will be the main backups, and Tyquan Lewis rounds out the rotation. Do you guys see a Jamal Marcus adding speed on the edge?
Defensive tackle- Next year (assuming big Hank leaves) I am guessing Diesel & Tommy Schutt will be the starters. I see Joel Hale as a rotational backup, filling the Goebel role of middle clogger. I'm not sure if Chris Carter has much of a future on the line, though I think he's intriguing as hell with how big he is. We also have Bosa, Sprinkle, Hill & Price coming in, and I think Donovan Munger may add himself to the mix. What do you guys think the interior rotation will be?
I think UFM is setting himself up to have a bitchin defensive line, though I think we need one more class with some more monsters on the edge, and 1 more interior guy to really round this thing out.

Wonder if Curtis Grant will ever move to end. Heacock had said last year that he felt like Curtis's best position would be rush end so he doesn't have to think as much.
He has been adamant that he will be a DE. Even tweeted at an ESPN recruiting expert saying to change his position from DT to DE in the ESPN 150

Sad to say it, but i don't see big hank staying. The way he's been playing, he's pretty much a surefire top 10 pick. I'm surprised he isn't getting as much love, not on the B1G defensive player of the year watchlists or anything like that.
I'm thinking Bennett/Spence on the ends, with Schutt and Goebel in the middle. There is a reason Goebel is starting right now, i just don't see him dropping down.
I feel like Bennett will play more DT with Schutt, Hale, and Washington. Isn't he lke 290?
Miller, Pittman, Spence, Moore, Lewis should be good outside...then add in the frosh
I like Michael Hill a lot; I think he may crack the rotation as a speed DT on passing downs.
I'm not sure about Marcus and Lewis on the line. I've heard Marcus mentioned as an end (his high school position), but he's supposed to be a LB as far as I can tell. Also, Lewis was recruited as a LB, with a focus on rushing and at times putting his hand down, but he wouldn't be an end.
Let me know if I'm missing something.

Crazy that we will probably be starting 4 new D-lineman next season..I know they are talented guys but i don't like that for a title run.

that would be a dumb move with Spence and Miller here for 2-3 more seasons, as well as Lewis coming in. It's either pan out at Sam or Mike or ride the pine..the way I see it.
