I like the CM+Torg as much as anyone, but when you're in the public eye, there are certain things that should be left unsaid. He said something that was inappropriate and is on leave because of it, like any "public eye" job would likely do. He'll be back with a profound apology on the air, and within a week, they'll be joking about it.

The Torg runs his mouth all the time and it finally caught up with him. I'm not the biggest fan of that show so I could care less if he goes.

It's also worth mentioning that he comlpetely half-assed his apology. "Sorry if anyone's offended" is pretty insincere and might have contributed to his suspension. That said, any publicity's good publicity. He'll be back soon.

I wouldn't mind if The Fan switched time slots between CM&T and Bishop and Rothman. That way I can listen to Bishop and Rothman on my way home from work.
Never listened to the show, moved down here two years ago, but he sounds like a dumbass just from a handful of quotes I've heard from him, and this was the straw. Maybe if/when he comes back he'll think twice before he runs his mouth..er.. twitter

Absolutely not. The guy is a turd, a homer-for-hire, and a misgoynistic dickweed. For all the crap he talks about female athletes, "peeing standing up" and "horseface" and assumptions about their sexuallity, and what not, he needs to post a pic of his wife on the Fan website. She must be a model. I mean, she has to be. It's the only way to explain his arrogance and disregard for mere mortal women and female pro athletes.

I love the show but this is a perfect example of why you should think before you press send...CM is great but Torg does say some strange things at times (and apparently likes to tweet them too).

He has said several times on the air that he dislikes Desmond. I'm not fond of Desmond either. I still have nightmares to this day of him striking the Heisman pose in the endzone and singing that horrible song on top of The Shoe the morning of the Texas game in '05.
However, somethings are better left untweeted when you're in the public eye.
This whole thing has been blown out of proportion, imo. Yes, the words were poorly choosen and insensitive, but everybody knows that The Torg does not really wish death upon Demond. I'm not a fan of their show, it's sophomoric, inane, and uniformative. But I'll admit to tuning in now and again. And TCM and Torg seem to have a good chemistry and manage to actually be entertaining from time to time. For a man to lose his job and a station to lose half of it's best dou is uncalled for. I hope The Torg is able to come back soon, make an apology on air, and put the incident in the past. It's really not worth all the fireworks it has caused.
I know there are literally dozens of posts on this and 97.1 and C&C etc., but there are all kinds of rumors (including from Torg himself) that there is a 2nd sports radio station coming to Columbus (95.5 is what I'm hearing) and that The Torg will be on that station. Only timetable given is "soon." (source: Torg's twitter and "Save the Torg" facebook page)
K95 or 95.5 is moving to 107.1 April 1st it's been advertise on the radio station.. My wife listens to that station
It would be cool to see common man team up with him again.. But I doubt that happens but ill listen to him I always got a good laugh listening to him
I know this topic is about the Torg, but I gotta say that D. Stanley was the absolute worst sports radio talk show host ever. Man it was really hard to listen to that guy; even when he talked about OSU football.
T-Bone is worst in my opinion. Would love for the Common man and the Torg to be back together.

I assume Torg cannot go back to 97.1 (obviously) so Common Man would have to jump ship to 95.5 when that gets set up. I wonder what his contract stipulations are and how long he's under contract at The Fan.
I'm sure there a do not compete clause in his contract. It's pretty standard for radio.

I hate to admit it...but the show isn't the same now. Even when Circle K is on there it's still Common Man pulling something out of him every five minutes to get him to speak. Even though I love Circle K...he's not the Torg. I know...the torg and even CM can be a douche bag...but I love that show on Fridays. Last week CM was playing stuff that Bill Walton was saying...I laughed so hard my stomach hurt.

They interviewed the president. The show was amazing. I know people didnt like them but there is a reason they had the home commute time slot. The show was laugh out loud funny, and the radio station got punked by Herbie. Its good to have the Torg back in the bus.
