I don't know. Hopefully nothing serious. Senior year and having the best year of his career and it end like that. Not cool. Especially when he is 1 of 2 competent starting LB.
If he's out for the year, it would really suck for him and the team. He has given A LOT to the program in terms of dedication and effort. And of our linebackers, he is the most experienced. Hope he checks out alright.
If he's down, who are the candidates to step up? Lots of unproven kids at LB. Let's pray that Shazier stays healthy...he's flirting with injury too it seems.
Ending this on a positive -- it was a GREAT game last night. Windows open in my pad, and everybody in my hood definitely found out that I'm a Buckeye in California...if they didn't know already. GO BUCKS!!
He begged to come back in during the first half, right after he came back after getting it checked out, but it was clear that he was turned away and then he put his helmet away. That indicates to me that it must not have been tooooo bad. But I imagine we'll hear more by Wednesday.
Sucks for Etienne, who's having his best year yet. This might be a blessing in disguise for next season since Eteinne is gone after 2012. Groom Perry, Grant or Marcus for Sam next season.
It was reported that he left the stadium in a walking boot. Hopefully a sprain and he's back on the field soon. He had really stepped up his game and was playing with some "hostility".

Thought Storm played well, too. Was happy for him. I'm just worried because we seem to be getting dangerously thinner at a position where we need more improvement.
That definitely seemed to be Klein's best game, and I thought Perry stepped in admirably for Sabino. He didn't have as much positive impact as Sabino has had this year, but he didn't seem to be out of place ever and never really got burned.
It's tough telling. I'm kind of thinking the fact that they're only ruling him out for one game might mean good news (not season ending or expected to miss a large chunk of time). But I also don't like that they're already ruling him out on Sunday night, before he really has a chance to undergo much treatment or "test it" in non-contact drills. Not to mention they aren't even specifying what the injury is. High ankle sprain? Broken foot? We have no idea.
Indiana is a stellar time to get some game reps for Perry, Marcus, Bogard, and Murray so we aren't completely screwed if an injury hits our limited depth positions.

As long as they don't come out and get punched in the mouth like MSU.
Saw C. Grant in the game on goal-line near the 3rd quarter (I think) they were coming into the enzone where are seats are. He was lined up just outside and slighly behind the DE. During the game I hadn't realized Sabino was hurt.
CC, I think Sabino went out fairly early, but I don't remember exactly when. I had been worried about Shazier and noticed he was back in the game, but then I noticed #37 and couldn't figure out who it was. When I realized it was Josh Perry, it hit me that Sabino was out. Anyway, here's hoping he has a speedy recovery.
I really need to re-watch the game. We are in row 7 in the closed end of the field. Sometimes they are the best seats in the house, other times it's tough to catch much. The up-tempo catches the scoreboard guy napping a lot. They often switch to the play right as the snap is made.
I was worried when RDS was hobbling around but he looked good even after his injury.
The one bonus is that we have a bye on the 5th week, so if everything goes as one might hope, perhaps we'll: a) Get Sabino back and healthy in time for the Wisconsin and Mich games to end the year, and b) Get the young bucks some much needed experience in the mean-time, which will help tremendously going into next year!
ARE YOU ASKING ABOUT ETIENNE SABINO'S INJURY?

I thought they moved Grant to SAM? Didn't notice him out there. Saw Perry and Cam Williams.
hope Sabino is ok, they really need him.
Yeah, Storm Klein looks a bit lost out there. Where is Curtis Grant? Cam Williams needs to step it up at least to have some depth at LB.
I will never be convinced that Klein is a better option than Grant out there.

Run_Fido's favorite word is strawman.

Never thought I would say this: We really need Sabino back.
Never thought I'd say this: Storm Klein looked great out there last night IMO.
I wouldn't cheer for Michigan if they were playing the Taliban.
Not sure why the diss on Storm Klein, I thought he had a pretty solid game against Nebraska.

Not sure what to make of that. Could be serious, or it could be because it's Indiana.

Sounds like high ankle sprain

Another update, but still no clarity on what the injury is:

When did that happen in the game?

Looks like a fractured bone in his foot. Out 4 weeks.
That sucks. He was really picking up his play lately. Best wishes for a speedy recovery Etienne!!
When told OSU set school record for 50+ games this year, UFM said "That's good. We're gonna break that next year."
I heard he was out AT LEAST 4 weeks, but I feel like it could be longer than that
That's too bad for him. After a very successful career, I hop he can be part of another ttun beatdown. Get well soon!
