Could this be the end of the Robert Foster drama or will he still visit here like he said he was going to?
I thought he was going to have to go to a JUCO. If his grades are that bad, it's likely Bama is where he'll end up lol!
I saw this on Twitter... I don't think we need him. I believe we end up with Gibson and Quick in this class to go along with Marshall and Jacobs. Michael Thomas will end up being our outside guy. If we need another guy like that, we can get one in the 2014 class.
Quite honestly, I don't want Foster anyway. I'm not saying this because I'm bitter Ohio State isn't a finalist either. I think with the program being on thin ice as it is, there's a lot of Red Flags about Foster that this team just doesn't need to worry about. I also think he could have left Ohio State out of his "finalists" because Urban and the staff said thanks but no thanks!

One thing we can count on is the fact that if Robert Foster does get himself into hot water at 'Bama, neither he nor the university will have to suffer any kind of penalty for it, considering they are the 'premier' team in the 'premier' conference. Gibson and/or Quick would be the cherry on top for our WR spots left to be filled.

That last incident for Foster may have been the final straw. He received not one, but two personal foul penalties for throwing a punch on two different plays in his last game. He was thrown out of the game and is now suspended for Central Valley's first playoff game.
I'm sure this doesn't bother Nick Sabana & 'Bama, but it looks like Urban is being more disciplined in his recruiting, post sanctions & scholly reductions.
Foster is indeed a great talent. But, it is true what happened on the Foster visit last Spring: "it didn't go well for him." Also, I was surprised, (after talking with someone on the staff over the Summer), that Urban looked at Foster as more of a possession-type receiver, and not a deep threat. They seemed to think he didn't have the top-end speed to be the deep threat type of playmaker, but more of a move-the-chains kind of guy. He's been making some great plays as a receiver and returner the past few years, but obviously - gotta trust Urban on this decision. We have some quality receivers & we'll be signing some elite ones in this recruiting class, and in the next class too.

Pitt can have him if it means Dorian Johnson comes to OSU! I'll gladly take that trade.

i would have loved to have this kid minus his problems. Kid is more than likely Bama bound or Juco. Nothing more to see w/Foster as far as OSU goes IMO.

Yeah time to move on and focus on recruits who will still be on the team in 2-4 years. Too much of a headache from the news I've heard. Great talent no question, but too much uncertainty about his maturity and actions. Next...

STEENSN I couldn't agree more... Nobody reeally knows the situation. It doesn't look good on the surface, but that doesn't always mean something.
And it isn't a big deal to look at it from the surface and call the kid out for beign a ________. The issue is when people start acting like he is the one creating drama for the sake of drama to draw attention to himself. We are the ones that salivate over anything he says on his Twitter...

Is there something that I am missing? Do we think that William Gholston is not worth a scholarship? He punched somebody in a game. Brandon Spikes was doing some eye gouging against Georgia a few years ago. Have we forgotten that one of our own was caught on video choking an opposing quarterback a decade ago? Should the Texans get rid of Andre Johnson for hitting Cortland Finnegan? What the hell is going on? Where is the drama with this kid? He keeps a tight lid on his recruitment, I haven't read about any off the field problems. The kid's coach seems to like him. What exactly did he do? What are the red flags? Why is everyone talking like he is the unholy child of Hitler and Bluto Blutarski?
From everything I've read, and it's only a few things, the staff cooled after his visit. He visited with a friend and apparently the staff wasn't impressed with their behavior. Then a few things hit the internet about possible academic issues. Now there's the latest blemish, his suspension from his team. I guess it's all speculation, but where there's smoke there's usually fire. Good luck in the SEC.

I've never read anything he has said on Twitter and I have no interest in this kid in the Scarlet and Gray. He could end up great and never have any trouble. I just don't want anyone who could potentially be trouble and on top of that I don't want a guy who will be bad in the locker room. I'd rather miss out on the guy and have him shine somewhere else than have him come here and be another Ray Small or worse.

It's hard for me to say I wouldn't want to see Foster in Scarlet and Grey but thats why i'm not apart of the staff I trust them to keep this program out of risky situations.

If he's as good as they say, I want him. Unless he is a criminal or an absolute cancer in the locker room, we need him. Alot of you talk like everyone on the current team and incoming recruits are saints. I got news for you, they're not! And the things Foster has done aren't really that bad anyways. The "old heads" comment and not liking the academic portion of the visit doesn't bother me. Heck, I was a straight A student and I thought those exact same things on my visits. Sorry to burst your bubble, but you're not going to Ohio State for the academics, you go to play football and hopefully reach the NFL. As for the ejections, again doesn't bother me. I've been ejected from games before, but you won't find one person that knows me that will say I'm a bad person or I have off field issues. Things happen during the course of a game where emotions take over. If he was fighting in school or on the streets that's one thing, but I haven't heard any of that. Maybe Urban knows something that we don't, but I can promise you that he wouldn't turn him away based on those two incidents.
