Do you think there's a decent chance that we could get Texas Tech'd like West Virginia did, where the offense has a down day and the defense continues to give up massive amounts of yardage and points. If you look at our remaining games I think scUM is the only team capable of doing this, luckily it's at home and being a rivalry game I don't think it will happen...but look what happened to Texas in their rivalry game. I know we'll have a crazy crowd like we did for the Nebraska game and that'll be a huge advantage for us (along with Urban not being Mack) , so I'm not too worried. Any thoughts?

There is always the potential for a young team.
However, I see a major difference. We have Urban Meyer and they don't. Morgantown and Columbus share in the fact that their University Football Teams are the main show no matter what else is around. However, tOSU knows how to deal with success and failure. Our football point of view changed drastically after the debacle in Arizona-that was our wake up call.
This team is having issues, but we are also playing in the Big Ten which is horrifcally awful this year. Maybe only UM could do it if we have more injuries or some witch doctor puts a spell on us- but this team has a tough mental edge in their head coach and their desire to be the best, not look like the best.
I definitely don't see Michigan doing that to us. It's a rivalry game and there is no way that the guys will overlook it or not play their best. The team that could Tech us, to me, is Purdue.
I don't see Michigan doing it but teams like Purdue and Illinois which seem to play well against us do worry me a little.
With our defense, yes.
I once thought 49 points to Indiana wasn't possible...I don't know what to believe anymore.
Purdue and Illinois both don't have the offense TTU has. It requires a good offense to "Tech" a team.
Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite
Yes, I could definately see it happen. Can't specifically say against who, but yeah I think so.

Not saying I would bet on them, but Penn State worries me. They can pass and they can play run defense. The two pluses are this team seems to be able to run on anybody and getting pressure on the QB could help.
Not really, because our defense is nowhere near as inept as West Virginia's. I do think we could be in trouble if we ever fell well behind a team, because I'm not convinced we can pass our way back into a game; but something like that would be more likely to happen because of turnovers and bad special teams than because our defense couldn't stop the other guys.

As it has been said multiple times already, anything can happen. But at some point you've got to think that the coaches and players will figure out that what they are doing on defense is not working. What scares me more than losing at this point is Urban becoming what he was at Florida. He is heavily involved in the offense, coaches the special teams and he is going to have to do something with this defense now. At what point will he break?
In all my years of watching football I do know it is possible for a every team in almost any game to get Texas Tech'd
O H I O is the Buckeye State
Penult- 100% agree. State Penn at night, right? Happey Valley. McGloin has been playing very well, and judging from a distance, PSU's Coach has done a fantastic job. I believe those Pennsylvania boys will give us their best shot, and despite their preseason roster losses, they still have more talent than Indiana.
Yeah I do think we could get Texas tech'd, by Alabama. But we don't play them, so I think we'll be ok. That doesn't mean we can't lose a close one with the way this defense is playing these days..
It's 5 o'clock somewhere, & Michigan still sucks
I don't think TSUN can Texas Tech us. I could see us losing that game maybe 49-45, but not 49-14. If our bad offense put up 34 on their good defense in their house last year, our much improved offense can put up at least as much if not more on their not-quite-as-good defense in our house this year. Nobody else we play is as good as TSUN right now.
Class of 2010.
It won't be Purdue. Aside from Kawaan Short and the CB that's pretty good, the defense is an absolute mess, even in comparison to ours.

It could happen either against Wisconsin or Penn State. Then again we have played pretty well against pro style teams, I don't think it will happen.
