I've been trolling around the internet all day trying to find reactions from the Husker fans on the game and really haven't found squat. Do we have any Husker fans trolling the site who would be willing to toss in their two cents on the game? Or does anyone have any links to some decent Cornhusker websites? Really curious to hear how their experience was at the game.
Also, let it be known that being six time zones ahead sucks for night games!

From what i saw they were flaming Taylor Martinez. Saying that he wasn't a big game QB. A few chops at the coach's being young and inexperienced and getting out-coached by Urban and Co.

A few came on the 247 board and were very respectful. Not to stereotype, but they seem to be a pretty friendly, reasonable fan-base (in relation to other fanbases I've encountered). I always had a similar experience with Texas fans--very, very passionate, but still generally respectful.
I can imagine most are unhappy with the hot/cold nature of Martinez, but that's been a long-running theme. I haven't heard complaints about "running it up" from Nebraska fans, but have heard that from a few Ohio State fans, including my own dad lol (I disagree completely on that).
Lots of talk about firing Bo, I can't see it happening, but lots of talk.

I haven't had the opportunity to meet any yet but I've heard nothing but good things about the Nebraska fans. Just hope that those who showed up last night were treated with respect.
And I agree about the Texas fans. Except for an unfortunate incident at a White Castle on High St. I got along great with all the Texas fans that came up in '05 and had an absolute blast with all of them I met down in Austin in '06. Was really bummed when they didn't end up in the BIG. I felt like they would have been a great fit.

I mean, that's pretty much what happened. Losing Burkhead was huge for them, although most of his yards came on that one carry when Perry missed his assignment. And only one of Martinez's picks was egregiously bad, I thought Roby made excellent plays on both of his. And despite all of the points we scored, I didn't think their defense played that badly, they weren't really missing tackles or anything, Braxton was just making great reads and our line played out of their minds last night.
I wouldn't cheer for Michigan if they were playing the Taliban.
Six time zones? Where are you?
Nebraska fans are my favorite, by the way. I honestly can't help but cheer for their program. Just a bunch of good, classy people.
I was near the top of the south stands for this game, and there were some Nebraska fans standing at the VERY top. Some belligerent people around me noticed and were shouting some pretty awful things at them, and challenging them to fight. The Nebraska fans seemed to be taking it in stride. Then, at halftime, one of the Nebraska fans came down, introduced himself cordially, and told us that he was going to come down and introduce himself earlier, but the cops at the top of the stands said that they would kick him out if he did, because they thought he was going to start a fight.
Anyways, I have a good friend who goes to UNL, and I'm definitely going to try to make it out to a game at some point.

@TheBadOwl: The loss of Burkhead can't be overstated, I think that was HUGE. Nebraska's offense began to slow down immediately after he left. They were still dangerous, but OSU had one less thing to worry about, and I think that allowed the defense to really settle in for the first time in the game (since the very first 3 & out).
Living in Germany right now, CPLUNK, but God willing I'll be heading stateside soon. I was going to stay up for the game but I feel like every time I do I end up disappointed and after the past month I've had I need all the sleep I can get. Anyway, I'm probably the only Buckeye who actually enjoys noon games because that means a 6:00 pm game for me, at least when AFN actually decides to show Buckeye games...

Check out Huskerboard.com I've been talking with them all week long and I'm sure you'll find some post game discussion there about their experience.
Ohio State's band SLAUGHTERED Michigan's band. If this were a football game, it would have been Florida State vs. Savannah State. - SB Nation following OSU vs. UM 2012
@jfunk
Germany isn't bad though. I always liked it there.
Don't worry about not staying up this year, you'llget to see the offense really bring the pain next season!
Oh, don't get me wrong, I love Germany. Just got back from my third year at Oktoberfest. It's just this time of year is a little hard for me. Until I moved over here I'd been to at least two home games a year for ten years running. And catching a game on AFN isn't nearly the same as being there in person. Oh well, at least I have good beer to cry in to.

Here is the Husker's Rivals Board. http://nebraska.rivals.com/forum.asp?sid=928&fid=181&style=2 Many seem ready to give Pelini and Martinez the Heave-Ho.

"Eh, he's a douche but he is a good football coach. Nebraska has a head coach with only one of those qualities."

haha these are hilarious...you should've seen some of the ridiculous claims they were making pregame on espn.com yesterday: 'martinez is better than braxton', 'blackshirts gonna injure braxton again' (pretty classless)...kind of ironic that burkhead got injured after all of that talk
I would like to think Nebraska would be the one team / fanbase in the Big Ten that we beat, and I don't immediately want to gloat, and when we lose, I don't hate their fans, team, or coaches. Would love if it could be a mutual respect between two very storied / successful programs whose fanbases both know how to win and still respect each other.
