Before the Oregon/Arizona State game, I was hoping for an upset. A. to move the Buckeyes up the polls. B. Oregon annoys me a tad. It got me thinking however about, What if Oregon had gotten beat, what would the season ending result be. Well, Oregon would take a hit in the BCS Standings, making it more likely that if Notre Dame somehow ran the table they would be in the BCS NC Game, which is unacceptable.
So who do you want to be in the BCS NC Game?
out of the SEC:
LSU- no, Les Miles is like that wierd Uncle you try to avoid at all costs
Alabama- ehhh, not really, but they play good football
Florida- hell no. Would Meyer's legend take a hit from the media experts?
South Carolina- Someone different at least, but that would make 5 different SEC teams to have played in the BCS NC Game, and the S-E-C chants would only grow louder
Georgia, Texas Atm- long shots indeed, don't want any SEC team in the BCS NC Game, so this includes them, though I kinda like Georgia.
Big 12:
Kansas State- I would like to see them go, they remind me of the OSU 2002 squad
Oklahoma or West Virginia- 1 loss teams, that would get passed over by 1 loss Pac-10 Champs or 1 loss SEC team, so they are a non factor, IMO.
Pac 10:
Oregon State- something new, definitely would like to see them go
Oregon- I guess the closer I look at it, a better option they become, however, if they go to the Rose Bowl as an at-Large, or as a 1-loss Pac-10 Champ, they will probably massacre however the Big10 sends out there.
Southern Cal- long shot at this point with 1 loss, don't want it anyway, Imagine 1 month of ESPN interviewing Lane Kiffin before the game.
Independent:
Notre Dame- Notre Dame vs SEC would make me vomit. I would be able to watch ND vs Kansas State or Oregon State, because it would give me a team to truely root for against the Domers
Big East:
no Big East team is going to the BCS NC Game, even if undefeated
So, I guess, I'm really hoping to see Oregon State and Kansas State win out, and would ultimately want the Wildcats to take the crystal.

oregon and bama have separated themselves from the pack imo
mark may wins douchebag of the year... again
I agree, unless Alabama or Oregon lose there is no way they miss out on the NC game. many of the other top teams play each other before the season is over so that doesn't leave much chance for teams like Florida. Plus Alabama and Oregon have reletively easy schedules left.
Yes there are two Buckeyes in Ann arbor on this site!
I agree but I still want to see Bama play a stiffer SEC opponent just to be sure.
I actually think this year could be the year of no sec team. If all sec schools have a loss I could see k state, Oregon, nd being options. It was looking better when FSU was pre ncsu.
I think the only way an sec team doesn't make it is if they all have 2 or more loss
O H I O is the Buckeye State
Alabama and Oregon (with KSU as the other who may take #2 if Oregon loses IMHO).

Not sure why so many people hate on Notre Dame. We cant win the title this year, so who cares if they do? I think I'd be happy with anyone but an SEC team winning it all. It would be especially funny to see Notre Dame or Kansas State beat an SEC team in the title game and beat them in their own smashmouth defensive gameplan.
I think Oregon has the best shot. I could see the SEC teams all beating each other. LSU upsets Bama, SC beats UF. I hate Oregons uniforms, but I'll pull for them if they are playing an SEC team.
Dustin Fox was our leading tackler as a corner.... because his guy always caught the ball.
If K-State and Oregon are both undefeated and no SEC team is unbeaten, an SEC team will not be in the title game. There's no way they's snub a Big 12 team who will have beat a pretty tough slate of teams and really so has Oregon in favor of a one loss team from SEC.
I personally think Alabama-Oregon would be a really interesting matchup with their completely contrasting styles.
If Oregon goes undefeated and K-state happens to go undefeated in their big 12 schedule and bama and UF are too each have 1 loss, no way they could still win the SEC champ. and go to the dance. And if Oregon wins out (pretty much saying that they are) and ND is the other team undefeated in the same scenario, no way the BCS computers show that much love to the SEC and jump one of those teams over an undefeated ND. Would never happen.
I still think that Oregon hasn't played anyone and has a freshman qb. They have speed on offense and a really good rushing attack. In the past couple of years, they lose to teams that can tackle in the open field, and that have good DL. I'm hoping for k-state vs. oregon st., but dont' think either will get there. Mike Riley is a great coach who doesn't get enough national attention because of Nike U down the road.
My bet is Oregon vs Random SEC team.
~Because we couldn't go for three~
I would like to see all the sec teams with at least 1 loss and a few other teams go undefeated just to see how it plays out for the title game. I say that because a 1 loss sec team has been ranked ahead of decent 0 loss teams before.
