For those of you who've been to the games and can see the whole field, have our WRs been getting open regularly?
I'd feel (a little) better about the hits Brax keeps taking if I knew our WRs were getting open regularly against better competition (please don't use Miami and UAB as examples). I believe Kenny G. can adequately deliver the ball and read a defense. He obviously lacks Braxton's elusiveness, so likely would need to throw more.

Was at Cal game some, but not much. Some Streaks along side are open. Brax does take a little long at times to make decisions. I love Devin Smith but havent seen any counter or good route fakes off the ball to get seperation. He can flat fly , but Im talking Juking.
I've been to every home game so far and I wouldn't call it regularly.. but they definitely get open a good amount. This has been stated many times but Braxton will zero in on one person and he might have a backside receiver wide open. I've noticed that happen many times.
i think not zeroing in on guys comes with expierience... hes still a sophmore who gets by on ridiculous athletic gifts... herman will b working on progressions with him im sure
mark may wins douchebag of the year... again
One more year of experience and hopefully adding some very skilled WR's in this 2013 class should help.
Didn't Meyer mention something after the MSU game about Stoneburner failing to get separation?
Openish.
A better/more confident passer could find some of them and make a few of the throws Brax doesn't even try. Better receivers would get a bit more seperation for a relatively inexperienced QB to feel more comfortable making the throw. I've seen cases of both, but it's certainly not like these WRs are being smothered at all times.
Much better than last year but still average at best
From what I have seen, there is usually space between defenders, but Braxton does not get the ball out on time and the window closes by the time the ball gets there. Reading the defense faster is the next step in Miller's progression in my opinion. Right now the only reads he is really solid on are the single coverage vertical routes and the FB/RB/TE flat passes. I was excited how he worked the seams against Nebraska! Maybe some tangible improvement??
Random comment: I don't like people abbreviating Braxton Miller as BM. That's an abbreviation for bowel movement. Suggestion to use Brax or some variation instead...
Its called a sophmore q.b. who has only had a real q.b. coach since the hiring of Herman....will take time but he has shown progress already.
yes and no. To borrow a phrase from a talking head on EPSN. Braxton needs to "throw his receivers open."
~Because we couldn't go for three~
