Alhan...too funny. I found it hilarious that tTUN actually scheduled them after scheduling Bama this year. Talk about one extreme to the other...but they ~~want~~ need retibution for this.

I doubt that's the case. There isn't a player who will be on the roster next year that will have been on the team against ASU. I mean, I get that we enjoy it as fans because our most hated rival suffered a really embarassing loss at home but...it was 5 years ago.

im not a big fan of jesse palmer but he ripped scUM for scheduling them again. he simply begged the question: What are you going to prove if you win this game? If they win, they prove that they are the better team, which they already are. It's not redemption if you beat a team you lost to that you shouldve won aginst the first time. I think people are undersetimating how unbeleivably pathetic this move is.

Appropriate, for Halloween. Scary. Spooky. Nightmare-inducing.

On a more mundane note, it is actually amazing, how many people mistakenly believe that Rich Rodriguez was coaching Michigan at the time of the Appalachian State loss.

It is also remarkable -- altogether too well recalled by Michigan insiders -- that the week after Appalachian State loss, Michigan suffered an even worse defeat. A comprehensively embarassing 39-7 loss, also at home, to Dennis Dixon's Oregon Ducks. (The 2007 Ducks were a lot like the 2012 Ducks until Dixon blew out his knee.) 0-2 to start the season; 0-2 at home. The worst defeat at home in a lifetime; the worst two losses back-to-back in a generation of Michigan football. Like reaching for antivenin after a poisonous snakebite, Michigan fans always say in the next breath that the '07 team finished the season by beating Urban Meyer, Tim Tebow and the Florida Gators in the Capital One Bowl.

When Michigan hired Rich Rodriguez at the end of the 2007 season (we all knew that Carr would be gone long before that), I distinctly recall thinking, Great! Now we can get ourselves our own spread offense, to do to everybody else what Appalachian State and Oregon did to us...
