What game was that from? It is f'ing histerical. The sad thing is that acts like this are an all to common occurance in SEC land. I'm on the west coast and the stories that some of the teams bring back with them from SEC land officiating are really over the edge. I know that there is a tendancy for teams to percieve they get "homered" whenever they play a big game on the road, and playing as a visiting team in the B1G is no exception. But, the stories I hear from the schools out here are way worse for games played in the southeast.

I'm pretty sure the players that walk by are from Ole Miss who alabama played this weekend
that's just about the most egregious thing i've seen from a ref. the video is obvious enough without the money bag.

Yeah as silver bullet showed through the link, the ref in the gif was probably looking to line it up with the ref in the center of the field and then kept looking to see if it were a first down or not. Plus the Ole Miss coaches didnt have any reaction. Soooo.....
Tough one, he is marking it where the other refs are spotting it, but it just seems like he is trying to make sure it is a first down. In the end, the ball was on the right spot, but how it got there didn't seem very unbiased. Looking at the field markings, there is no reason for him to need to look at the hashmakrs to line it up unless the field judges were calling it a first down and he was just following their call.

Re Big Ten non-conf officiating in our stadiums. The only time that usually comes into play is for little-sister conferences: Sunbelt, MWC, Conf-USA, and MAC. I'm pretty sure the Big Ten has reciprocal officiating agreements with all of the BCS conferences. The children of the lesser god, however have to deal with potential bias. (No tears from this Buckeye though. They're getting a shit-ton of money for their pain & suffering.)
So if WVU plays in the Shoe, they get to bring a Big XII crew with them. And UNC gets to bring an ACC crew with them in a 2015. Cal brought a PAC-12 crew with them a couple weeks ago. They just have to coordinate with the Big Ten replay officials for reviews.
As far as Big Ten officiating in conf games, IMO Penn Staters are pretty much the only B1G fanbase that seems to have a problem with our crews. Which can be explained away, ie. crazy Paterno-cultists are crazy. Obviously, any call that doesn't go their way is the result of bias.
