On a PSU story a fan had this to say about a term of endearment sent Urbans way.
"Meyer doesn’t deserve it. I want us to win today so we can revel in the delight that he passed us up for OSU.
Regardless of what happens, i’ll take BO’B any day to represent our university."
Urban passed them up for OSU? Who wouldn't? Revel in delight? Wow. You go Bob.

I've heard this before from the PSU delusionals --- they really really thought that Urban was going to go there if it weren't for the (worst in the history of sports) scandal.
For years Urban's wife has around buckeyes with here as a good luck charm; yet many of them really thought Urban was going to pick PSU. Crazies.

Shelly jokingly asked Urban if she could sing along when our band played Hang on Sloopy during the 07 MNC. He was never going to Penn State.
Urban Warfare
Very good friend of a good friend of mine (yeah, yeah, friend of a friend) is a beeeeg PSU booster, as in, writes big checks to PSU athletic association, played for Paterno, is part of the in crowd there- said that PSU was really pursuing Urban before/during the Sandusky scandal hitting the headlines, thought they had some traction with him. Thought they had what Urban would want in a program and tradition, control, and money. Were very disappointed when he ended up at OSU. They really wanted him. The booster couldn't understand why he would pick OSU over PSU. I told good friend that his buddy was delusional, like many PSUites.
I think everybody knows that PSU was strongly pursuing Urban, but it seems pretty clear that any interest he showed PSU was to gain a little leverage in his negotiations with OSU. This was never a real contest.
