that right there pretty much sums up why this season has had some really big highs and some bad lows. Nothing really bad because OSU hasn't lost yet.

This is the exact reason some of us are distraught about our defense and others are happy that we are 7-0.  I think those stats sum that up pretty well.  Pretty and Ugly all rolled into one.

But the good news is that many of these plays can easily be eliminated by a) better positioning and pursuit and/or b) better tackling in space.  These are the plays that kill us, not the sustained drives.  When our defense executes, they are very good (which is why I'd prefer to give up sustained drives because I doubt the ability of the opposing offense to move the ball 3-5 yards/play when our defense executes).  They need to hit a point where the execute more consistently - and then we'll be a very dangerous team

Yikes is right. That stat doesn't really surprise me. We have given up quite a few big plays.

Heck, our total defense is ranked 10th overall in the B1G, with only Purdue and Indiana trailing us.
