I hope the coaching staff is making a push for Jan enrollment for the 2103 class. Look at the contributions of this years early enrollees, Decker, Dunn, Thomas, Perry. It would make a huge difference to get Marshall, Elliot, Woodard, Burrows, Lisle, Hill, Bosa, Barrett, etc., in early, through Coach Mick's conditioning, and conversent with the schemes. If we are going to make a run at the whole thing next year I see this as key. Anyone know the current status? Thoughts?

I am with you on this point. Those few months of conditioning, becoming comfortable away at college (never easy), and learning to take classes were extremely valuable to those guys this year. It is an easier transition than coming in the fall.
Tyquan Lewis is planning on early enrollment.
Pretty sure Eli Woodard is planning on the EE option as well.

Bosa is not enrolling early. I remember an interview (I can't recall the exact one) where he said he wants to enjoy high school. Can't blame the kid, you only get one senior year of high school.

Why does it seem that the Price kid is somewhat forgotten about in these little conversations? I have seen this kid play and he is a beast...Being doubled and sometimes tripled during games is tough for stats but he is and will be a really good DEFENSIVE player at OHIO STATE !
Barnett is early enrollment
I'm not really as on board as others are with this. Not that I don't want kids to enroll early, but that I don't know how much the spring helped the guys this year. Decker would be the one who we all thought would make the most impact, but Dunn is currently 4th string (I think), Thomas seems forgotten this year thus far, and Perry played well in his first game getting some serious time, so I'll hold judgment. But none of them have been as big as Schutt or Spence, who both enrolled in the normal course.
As I said, I'm not against it, but I think for example, Marshall would be fine without enrolling early
@703
based on the youtube videos on Bosa, i don't think conditioning will too much of an issue. he looks like he might be the next Simon in the weight room.
I believe that Tracy Sprinkle is also considering early enrollment
Would like to see a few in early but more for depth as opposed to immediate contributions.
In order, the only two players that I think can make an immediate impact on the team if they enroll ealry are Jalin Marshall and Ezekiel Elliot. If they get that extra cycle of practice to get on the same page with Braxton, they both bring a skill set that nobody else on the team has right now, a skill set necessary for Urban's offense to reach its full potential.
Saturday, do you not think getting in for fall ball would at least give them a limited knowledge that would be developed during the year? They will likely be limited in their plays anyway, so maybe they need to know 15 plays, and not 60. Like Braxton is learning the offense week to week, you move the freshman along to where by game 7-8 they are fully integrated
Agree Price is a beast, Big Hank may be gone, and hope he commits early. You can never have too many good QBs conversant on the offense so Barrett is important. Our first 5 games next year include Vanderbilt, Cal away, Wisconsin, and Northwestern away. You never know what injuries may happen. How much more advanced would Spence and Washington, or Perkins, Bogard, Marcus, Reeves, Murray, etc. Next year is for all the marbles.
Bosa isn't enrolling but looking at his Twitter page makes me think he needs too. Wants to enjoy the high school experience but says "home coming is dumb", talks about cartoon (Adventure Time, which does happen to be awesome), makes inflamatory political statements etc...I know some will say "that's just a typical 17-18 yr old..." and they are correct, but these are exactly the ones who need to get hear early and make sure they understand what it takes to become something more than a typical 18 year old, with the gift/talent they've been given.

I read somewhere that Price isn't enrolling early due to track. So yeah.
