Rocked my O-H-I-O t-shirt with the big Ohio st. logo on the back. Caught no flack from it and actually had another buckeye fan come up to me. Was good to know I was not alone out there. The fans out there werent bad at all. Nobody was talking any smack about the Bucks a few of them actually came up to me and asked me what the hell was wrong with them against UAB but no negativety out there at all. Got to stand out on the field and sat about 3 rows from the field right at the goal posts. Was a pretty good time but nothing beats walking into the shoe!
Anyways, LSU= not the second best team in the country by any stretch. They looked like absolute garbage out there against a mediocre at best Auburn team. If Auburn doesnt muff the punt in the third they beat LSU and alot of the country doesnt have to talk about LSU anymore unless they beat Bama.
The game was fun though def. something that I will remember forever going out there and watching this game. But it makes me miss the shoe pretty bad. Cant wait until I can get out to another Buckeye game.

Sounds like they treated you well which is the antithesis of what I would expect. I've wanted to go to SEC game to see what its like to see just how rabid the fans can be. I've got Neyland stadium at the top of my list because they are similar to OSU and have an excellent band. While you were there, did you get a chance to see Toomer's corner? If so what are the tree like now? Lastly, was this the first SEC stadium you've been too?
Ohio State's band SLAUGHTERED Michigan's band. If this were a football game, it would have been Florida State vs. Savannah State. - SB Nation following OSU vs. UM 2012
I've been waiting for fans to call for the firing of the entire LSU coaching staff after that ugly win. Haven't heard anything in the New Orleans area yet. This is LSU, not Indiana. I'm sure that this fan base won't stand for this kind of a win. Nothing yet though. Found a few comments with people who are happy with the win. Still looking...

This was my first SEC stadium I have been too and I was pretty impressed. Auburn has a pretty loyal fanbase. The stadium was LOUD. I did not get to see Toomers corner unfortunately but I live in panama city so its only around a 4 hour drive to go to the game and I might go see another one as long as it does not conflict with the Buckeyes schedule. I did get a glove from DT Whitaker after the game ended. That was pretty cool. Saw that Diamond kid we were recruiting last year. He looks like a trouble maker.
I expected it to be brutal out there with me sporting my Buckeye pride which would have been just fine with me. Im not going to hide my support for my team because im somewhere else you know? So I was pretty surprised when it wasnt too bad. I did have one person see my shirt when he was walking past me and he gave me a real dirty staredown as he continued to walk but that was about it and other fans were pretty disgusted by it actually so there are some pretty classy Auburn fans.
My dad went to an Arkansas game back when McFadden was there said he enjoyed that experience. I would like to go to a UGA game to experience that probably would not go to a gator game because I cannot stand Gator fans. But I might try to make it to an FSU game since Im not that far from Tallahassee. FSU seems like they have a pretty rowdy crowd.
Yeah Cajun that was just an ugly performance from LSU. Alot of people were clamming for them to take the no.2 spot before USC lost their first game. I just didnt think it was warranted with beating up on cupcakes at home. Then they play Auburn who is not good at all this year. Frazier is not the QB that Auburn was hoping he would be. He is scared in the pocket, scared to run, and scared to throw the ball. Last night if Auburn would have thrown the ball downfield they would have won that game no doubt about it. LSU at least IMO right now is the 5th best team in CFB. Now that can def. change the further down the season we go but right now that is just what I think.
I can tell you know Chizik might be looking for a new job after this year though. The fans are getting restless with him and his staff.
Sounds great. I tend to think they have a smaller fanbase but I have a friend who goes there and she says its the otherway around. Their stadium looks nice and like the structure of it. Its probably not on my list to see (UGA, Bama, LSU, Tenn) but it wouldn't hurt to give it a shot.
One thing I would be concerned about is safety. I've heard quite a few horror stories about SEC fans in their respective stadium but hey what do you expect; its football. I went to the ASU-Illinois game this year and everyone one was beyond excited to see an OSU fan there. Sun Devil's stadium makes for a good visit too. There were quite a few OSU fans there from the Scottsdale-Tempe area.

BHardy- the DT gave a glove to you in a Buckeye shirt? That's interesting in itself. Was it thrown, or was he not paying attention, or just equal opportunity...?
I dont think he was paying attention. Players were pretty much just taking their gloves off handing them to people not looking at who they were handing them too and just kept walking. Either way I will take it! haha. Nice little keep sake for a memorable game.
LSU fans (legit ones... I mean, like from Louisiana) are actually really nice / good people. We went down to New Orleans for the Nat'l Championship game and I can't tell you how many nice (football-related) conversations I had with different LSU fans. Hence why the Tigers have always been my favorite SEC team.
Funny...at least SEC fans are sane apparently....because ours are getting a bit insane. Even they saw we looked like S@!t. Too bad many here can't see that...

Well Auburn's defense up until last night was going through the same thing we were on the defensive side of the ball as far as not wrapping up goes. I just cant believe how much we missed Roby yesterday. our secondary isnt all that great and without him it is horrendous.
I agree with Scarlet; the majority of LSU fans are really nice. Especially, the ones around New Orleans. LSU fans are like farm animals. They're cute when the little, but the bigger they get, the harder they are to control. You definitely need a strong fence. I'm not sure where you went after the BCS, but we walked down Poydras and went to Ernst's. "TIGER BAIT...TIGER BAIT"... and having empty beer cans thrown at me from a pssing car, are my fondest memories.

I was down in new orleans 2 summers ago, a couple of us went to the Abita brewery and meet a couple LSU fans, we were wearing osu shirts so they knew we were from Ohio and osu fans. But they were very nice they actuallu took my buddy fishing the next day for free!
I've always had good experiences with LSU fans. Bamas and Auburn too.
Pits been my experience that the worst fans in the SEC as far as treatment of others are at the mid-tier schools that glom on to the success of the big timers (Georgia, South Carolina, the two Mississippis, and Arkansas) and Florida.
just my experience though.
I've been to South Carolina and Florida games and they have always treated me well there, of course there were a few occasional taunts at Florida, but not too bad.
Living in Orlando, I catch grief from SEC fans on the regular.
