week 1 the Big 10 went 10-2
week 2, 6-6
Week 3 we have these matchups:
Charelston Southeren @ Illinois- W
Ball State @ Indiana- L - isn't Indiana's QB out with broken leg?
Northern Iowa @ Iowa- W
Umass @ Michig*n- W
Notre Lame @ Michigan State- L- ND controls Bell forces Sparty QB to throw
Western Michigan @ Minnesota- W
Arkansas State @ Nebraska- W
Boston College @ Northwestern - W
Cal @ Ohio State- W
Navy @ State Penn- W- as long as it doesn't come down to the kicking game
Eastern Michigan @ Purdue- W
Utah State @ Wisconsin- W
So Big 10 goes 10-2 in a week of almost embarrassing matchups, kind of iffy on State Penn.

I'll go 10-2 with MSU winning late and PSU losing.
9-3 with Ls from Indiana, Iowa and PSU
Iowa looks awful and better watch out for --smh-- Northern Iowa.
Purdue should've beaten ND, and MSU will beat them.
No idea what IU does with their QB out, but B10 could actually sweep the slate this weekend. Still won't redeem last week's putrid performance.
Navy's triple option offensive attack is tough to defend for any team, let alone a demoralized Penn State team. I don't know if they lose, but it wouldn't surprise me to see the Nittany Lions fall to 0-3.
I think Wisconsin is on upset alert...again.
Michigan State will be too strong at home, at night for BeetFace & co.
"You win with people." - Woody Hayes
^^^^^ Bell and MSU OL vs Manti Teo and ND DL
winner takes the game
MSU's QB isn't strong enough to take advantage of ND's weak secondary, if Bell isn't able to rumble.
I wouldn't assume an Iowa win. Northern Iowa gave Wisky a game in Week 1.
As for Maxwell at MSU throwing the ball, he threw for 275 yards against Central Michigan. Yes, I know it's Central Michigan, but it appears he can throw the ball (at least sometimes).
Watched Maxwell vs Boise St defense, and it is true he can throw a forward pass, yet, he is not yet reached a level I would describe as serviceable.
My prediction is Michigan doesn't beat UMass as badly as Indiana did last week (45-6, I think).
Those who stay will be CHAMPIONS!

I go 11-1, penn state loses to Navy, I think BC could have a real good game against NW, that could be a trap game for them, but I think NW pulls it out in a close one until the 4th quarter.....
9-3. Penn State, Indiana, and Iowa all lose.
I gotta go with 11-1 with Penn State losing.
I like to believe that my best hits border on felonious assault.

I go to UNI, and surprised they put up such a fight w/ Wisconsin given that they had to replace 11 starters off their team last year, including starting a RS freshmen QB... but with that said, they'll still beat Iowa.
Last week the B10 went 6-6, upsets on Wisconsin & Nebraska. Northwestern defeated Vandy. Iowa losing by a FG. I lost them 4 games, but decided all the other games right. I was 8-4 in picks last week.
This week, I see the B10 doing much better, don't be shocked if the conference goes 12-0, but I expect 11-1, 10-2 at the worse case scenario.
My game by game predictions:
Charleston Southern (0-2) vs. Illinois (1-1) – noon ET, BTN
- Illinois should have no issues, 38-7 victory
Ball State (1-1) vs. Indiana (2-0) – 8 p.m. ET, BTN
- Indiana will remain undefeated, but game will be close because of the Tre Robinson injury. Hoosiers win 30-24.
Northern Iowa (1-1) vs. Iowa (1-1) – 3:42 p.m. ET, BTN
- Another close game I imagine this should be. Iowa has never lost to an FCS program. Iowa wins 20-17.
Massachusetts (0-2) vs. Michigan (1-1) – 3:30 p.m. ET, BTN
- Not much to say here, powerhouse UMass will get blown out. Michigan wins 57-7.
Notre Dame (2-0) vs. Michigan State (2-0) – 8 p.m. ET, ABC
- B10 Game of the week here, should be a good game but I don't see Irish knocking off Sparty. Le'Veon Bell and the Irish young corners will be the deciding factors. Sparty wins 31-21.
Western Michigan (1-1) vs. Minnesota (2-0) – noon ET, BTN
- Minnesota will actually begin the year 3-0 here. Gophers are confident right now and the run game for the Gophers will help them in this game. John Rabe may be involved here as well to help seal it away. Gophers win 33-24.
Arkansas State (1-1) vs. Nebraska (1-1) – noon ET
- 1st year coach Mulzahn goes up against Nebraska here but he will fall short. The win won't be pretty though. Nebraska wins 31-23.
Boston College (1-1) vs. Northwestern (2-0) – 3:30 p.m. ET, BTN
- Another good game for this Northwestern squad. This will be really close, but I'm going to give the slight edge to the Wildcats. Something tells me they will win the last two minutes again. Cats win 28-27.
California (1-1) vs. Ohio State (2-0) – noon ET, ABC
- Cal lost to Nevada, OSU should be able to overpower Cal. Braxton should have a great day. Bucks roll 38-14.
Eastern Michigan (0-2) vs. Purdue (1-1) – noon ET, BTN
- Not much to discuss here, Purdue play great against the Irish, should have no problem taking out EMU. EMU won't be able to run or pass much. Boilermakers romp 41-3.
Utah State (2-0) vs. Wisconsin (1-1) – 8 p.m. ET, BTN
- This game will actually be quite good. Aggies will be in this game till the end. It's gonna come down to who wants the W more, but I'll give a slight edge to Wisconsin, winning this in the 4th Q 24-20.
Navy (0-1) vs. Penn State (0-2) – 3:30 p.m. ET, ABC/ESPN2
- The toughest game to pick this week. I'm torn between the two programs, but I really want to see PSU win their first game. Navy has had two weeks to prep for this game. I'm going to give the Nittany Lions the edge, but not by much, and I won't be surprised if Navy wins, 23-17.
11-1.
Indy and Minn are toss-ups, so I'll predict a split (1-1) in those two games. Otherwise, BT teams win all the other match-ups.
I'm such an idiot today....derp.
need to count 7 or eight times, slowly, then type.
I confuse myself sometimes when I type
Northern Iowa will give Iowa all they can handle - could be a loss for the Hawkeyes
Utah State looked good against Utah. This is another game for them against a similar type of oppoent. It they don't have a let down after the big win against Utah, this could be a loss for Wisky.
Penn State will have a tough time with Navy. The Middies have had 2 weeks to prepare and are eager to make up for their dismal showing in Ireland.
Indiana will most likely lose because of the Q situation.
I think MSU will handle ND, but they may pull a Sparty......
Throw in another upset and this could easily be a 6-6 weekend again. Yuck! Then again most of the games listed above could go either way, so let's just say the B1G will go 8-4 or 9-3. No way they go 12-0
Losses for Sparty and Penn State. Somebody else loses - either Iowa or Northwestern, but I can't decide which, so I'll be a Big T(welv)en homer. I'm nervous about the Cal game, since I'm going, but I'm hoping we pull through.
Sparty's defense rules the roost, but I'd have to have some kind of confidence in their ability to throw on offense, and I don't. Penn State lost their starting wideout (he walked away from the team), and without a kicking game, the service academy might pull it off. The BC/Northwestern game is a tough one for me to call, and Northern Iowa is fully capable of being the Flagging Ferentzes. I'd give a body part to see Bucky bite another one.
I'll go 10-2 for the Big T(welv)en this week, but 8-4 (or even 7-5 if Cal plays as well as I think they can) is completely possible.
The way Utah State is playing, I can see them beating Wisky.

Got them going 8-4 here are my losses
Ball State @ Indiana- L
Northern Iowa @ Iowa- L
Western Michigan @ Minnesota- L
Boston College @ Northwestern - L
agreed 703buckeye, they looked good against utah definintely. it helped that they knocked jordan wynn out so early. feel bad for the kid, announced his retirement after his 4th or 5th serious shoulder injury and is still sticking around to help out the team for the year, even though he already has his degree
I am going with 10-2 this week
Charelston Southeren @ Illinois- W 47-13 Cakewalk for Illinois
Ball State @ Indiana- W 28-17 Even without Roberson Indiana pulls out the W
Northern Iowa @ Iowa- W 20-10 Tough game last week for Northern Iowa. It's either a confidence builder or too much in back to back weeks.
Umass @ TTUN- W 48-17 Umass couldn't move the ball on UConn, UConn may have a better defense than Misshigan
Notre Dame @ Sparty- W 31-27 Not buying the Golden Domers just yet, Maxwell much improved last week
Western Michigan @ Minnesota- W 27-23 Close game, too much Marquise Gray for Western to handle though
Arkansas State @ Nebraska- W 52-21 The Huskers come back strong, Martinez looks great against another less than stellar team
Boston College @ Northwestern - W 17-14 This game is 50/50 for me. Hoping for a Northwestern win actually, tough first three games may catch up to Northwestern
Cal @ Ohio State- W 41-16 Could Braxton run and pass for 200? It's possible more likely against UAB next week
Navy @ State Penn- L 27-19 Penn State gets 3 touchdowns, but 2 missed Extra Points
Eastern Michigan @ Purdue- W 45-24 Still drinking the Boilermaker Kool-Aid. Easy win against a directional TTUN
Utah State @ Wisconsin- L 21-20 Upset pick of the week, and only TTUN losing would make me more happy than Wisky losing
All I'm going to say is it better be an improvement from last weekend...because as of last week...B1G is VERY overrated. Especially TTUN (despite the win...it was a very below average AF team that tried like hell to pull an upset), Wisky, and Iowa. The rest wasn't great either...including us.
9-3 in week 3
Charelston Southeren @ Illinois- W
Ball State @ Indiana- L - agreed no QB=loss
Northern Iowa @ Iowa- L
Umass @ Michig*n- W (not by as much as you think)
Notre Lame @ Michigan State- W...ND is OVERRATED! MSU def. and running wins this game...or trickeration...you never know.
Western Michigan @ Minnesota- L
Arkansas State @ Nebraska- W
Boston College @ Northwestern - W
Cal @ Ohio State- W
Navy @ State Penn- W- this could be closer than many think. PSU looks lost...and rightfully so. I can see them going 5-7 and that would be good considering.
Eastern Michigan @ Purdue- W
Utah State @ Wisconsin- W

Penn State could lose, and Wisconsin is on upset alert again.
/Duff'd It
Iowa and Wisconsin on upset alert.
Winners: Illinois, TSUN, Michigan State, Nebraska, Northwestern, Ohio State, Purdue, Wisconsin (upset alert if they're not ready to play)
Tossups: Iowa, Minnesota, State Penn
Losers: Indiana

Utah State @ Wisconsin- W
Charelston Southeren @ Illinois- W

Western Michigan @ Minnesota- W
Arkansas State @ Nebraska- W
Boston College @ Northwestern - W
Cal @ Ohio State- W
Navy @ PSU - L
Eastern Michigan @ Purdue- W
Utah State @ Wisconsin- W
So I am saying they go 10-2, 9-3 at worst. Kinda worried about Wisconsin's state of mind after losing to Oregon State last week but hoping for a bounce back game. tOSU should win easily and scUM should as well.

Penn State actually dominated Navy, was an interesting game. 6-0 for the B10
Trying to get Northwestern to hold on here...
Watching that game now, C'mon Wildcats!
That should do it :D
NW is doing me good so far this year. Let's go WildCats.
scUM wins, they covered the spread, 7-0 for the B10
Iowa won, 8-0, NW should hold on here, so B10 about to go 9-0.. I said a few days ago, don't be surprised if the B10 goes 12-0 haha, but it's all up to Hoosier, Wisky and Sparty tonight. Interesting 3 games here.
Wildcats are 3 - 0 Doing the BigTen proud.
Go BigTen! LOL
The three night games aren't going so well. I thought Utah State and Ball State would give Wisky and Indiana a hard time, they are. I'm more surprised at the way ND is pushing around MSU; beetface looks like he has a good team this year.
At/around the half:
USU 14 - Wisky 3
ND 14 - MSU 3
IU 25 - Ball St 24
"Attack the Strong, Trample the Weak, Hurdle the Dead!"

Wisky pulled their game out, but Spartans and Hoosiers I don't think will come out with a W
Sad indeed, for the BigTen.
Come on Stanford, you bastards.
CARDINALS, CARDINALS!!!!!!!
So 10 -2 this week
6 -6 last week
10 -2 first week
That makes 26 - 10 for the big ten. (Correct me, it is late).
SEC:
11 - 1 first week
9 -2 second week
11 -1 third week
That makes 31 - 4 But, they have played 1/2 as many Out of Conference Games!!
Somebody check this for me.
Indiana almost made a comeback. So yeah. 10-2.
Why does the SEC play so few out of conference games? Maybe they are interspersed throughout the season? I don't want to check. In any case, they have played far less than BigTen and Pac12 so far.
Next weekend should be telling; Nobody in the top ten has really played any competition yet:
Unless you count Fichigan, Bama plays nobody of substance until !0/13 and that is Mizz.
Unless you count Washington, LSU plays nobody until 10/6 @ FL
GA beat @ Mizz and Stanford beat USC.
Except for Bama and LSU the rest of the top ten all face at least some competition next weekend. And Clemson and FL ST play each other. I love that first weekend of real competition in college football, the shake-up weekend.
The SEC likes to sneak in there Sun Belt battles in the mid and later season. They started the early conference play a couple of years ago.
