I think spence gradually earns more time. Williams is a smart player but not quite as fast.
Bad play calling and missed tackles. Cal ball, 3rd and 2, OSU lines up with DB's 8 yds. off the ball!?! D# play calling MUST get better real quick. Also, where was Dunn at? Not a single carry....
Weird personell decisions so far this season to say the least. Schutt starting against UCF?

I think because Urban treated this game like any other out of conference warmup and wanted to see what Klein could do etc. Lots of experimenting on offense etc. Almost got beat, I don't like it.
I actually though Nate Williams played a very good game today (one of the few), he was in the backfield a lot. He has a great deal more experience than any freshman would so it's easy to see why he would play that much when it's a close game.
I thought Nate Williams played OK.
Adolphus Washington made his presence known to the tune of 2 penalties.
I think Klein played a lot because Grant didn't play that well. Our LBers haven't been stepping up and stopping people in the whole in a while. Shzr can chase people to the sideline, but not getting into the backfield on runs too often.
Nate Williams and John Simon were in the backfield a lot, which was great on pass plays, but I noticed that on almost every one of the big runs from CAL the DE's were in pure pash-rush mode and ran right by the RB, completely losing contain. We have to be able to find some sort of mix.
^agreed. Also Howard wasnt confused it was sabino, howard was looking to sideline for s heme. Sabino one on one w wideout never good. This one kills me, Braxton I truly believe has his mind made up on pass plays. Quite a few open recievers today on boundries.Believe that will come, but the underthrown balls are real bad
